  • ~5 metre rear view camera cable

Placement, installation
Screw the mount into the threaded hole on the top of the video camera. Tighten the grooved plastic nut found on the metal bolt in order to affix and stabilise the video camera. Position the video camera as needed by loosening the large nut on the ball joint. Place the suction cup mount on the windshield of the vehicle in a way that allows you to have a clear view of the road; the device must not obstruct the line of sight of the driver. After positioning the device as desired, fix the position of the video camera by turning the large nut. Place the device so that it does not come into contact with other objects. It may be practical to attach it next to the centre rearview mirror.
The suction cup and the glass must be cleaned before the installation. Only soapy water can be used! Remove the suction cup from the windscreen every month, or more often in extreme heat or cold, otherwise it may lose its original properties. Clean it regularly before reinstalling! Do not leave the holder or the appliance in the parking vehicle on its place. In case of particular sunshine or in a strong frost remove and put it in the glove compartment or trunk.

Power supply, connection
The device can be operated from the cigarette lighter socket on the vehicle, from 12-24 V DC. Use only the supplied connecting cable! Run the cable in a circle, without injury, under the plastic frame around the windshield. It is recommended to run it above the inner rearview mirror under the edge of the roof lining, then run it to the right under the plastic mouldings to the glove compartment, under that lead it further and connect it to the cigar lighting socket. A USB- miniUSB cable (accessory) is required if you want to connect it to a computer with the purpose to copy the shots. If you have a memory card reader, you can remove the card from the camera and manage the recordings with the card reader.
The built-in Li-Po battery does not operate the camera for continuous operation, but compensates for potential surges that may occur when starting or stopping the vehicle, thus protecting the camera from malfunction The accumulator should be removed after service life and disassembled by a qualified technician and treated as hazardous waste. If there is fluid leaking out of it, wear protective gloves and clean with a dry cloth. Do not open, burn or short-circuit the accumulator. Non-rechargeable batteries should not be charged! Risk of explosion! Keep out of reach of children! The red LED on the upper right corner goes out when charging is completed.

  • If the cigarette lighter plug indicator light is off, check the condition of the fuse in the plug.
  • If the vehicle’s cigarette lighter socket is free of voltage after the ignition key is removed, not all extra functions are available.
  • If you experience an operational problem or the product does not respond, reset the factory settings by pressing the RESET (9.) button (on the front, under a miniUSB socket) with the documentary clip.
  • Attention! If operated from a 24V supply, important information can be found on connecting the power supply in the chapter on the reversing camera.

Inserting a memory card (required for operation)
Turn off the device and insert the microSD (SDHC / TF) Class10 + memory card which has to be purchased separately. Do not force it, it can be slided in one position only! The contacts should look back, in the direction of the screen. It is recommended to use a minimum of 8 GB, but rather a 16-32 GB (max.128 GB) card. It is important to use at least CLASS10 marked one. Otherwise, a warning text will appear on the screen after switching on.

Slow memory card is not suitable for using in high definition cameras. Before the first use, it is recommended to format the card in the video camera: 2 x MENU button / ▲▼/ FORMAT MENU In addition to playing AVI and JPEG files, do not store other types of files on the microSD device as it may interfere with the operation. Use only quality memory cards. Even these do not always work well, depending on their type or status. Their operation is not always guaranteed, which does not indicate the fault of the unit.

Warning! The manufacturer does not take responsibility for the loss or damage of data etc. even if the data etc. get lost during the use of the device. It is recommended to make a copy of the data and tracks to your personal computer prior the use of the device.

Automatic start of recording
The device starts recording automatically when turned on. When connecting the power supply, the device starts automatically and thus starts recording. Its operation may change depending on the vehicle based on whether the cigarette lighter socket remains powered after the ignition key is removed. In the case of certain models, the socket remains powered at all times; in such vehicles, the video camera has to be turned on and off manually. If the socket of the vehicle remains powered when parking, that is the removal of the ignition key, recording may continue.

The driver must connect (starting recording) and unplug the charger cable from the cigarette lighter socket, or by pressing briefly the OK (5.) button turning it on, by keep it pressed turning it off. The turned on camera will start or stop recording by briefly pressing OK button. Turning on the device always causes the start of the recording and turns on when the power is turned on. If the motion detection mode is activated in the menu, recording may start with motion.

The length of recording that can be recorded on a particular memory card depends on the selected resolution and image quality. Approximately 60 minutes of FULL HD 1080 p recording requires 8 GB of storage. By reducing the resolution, the recording time is significantly increasing. When setting a continuous recording mode, recording will continue even when the memory card is full. The oldest recordings will be deleted at the specified cycles (e.g. every 2 minutes). To fully switch off the device, press and hold the OK button, then disconnect the USB cable from the video camera or the DC plug from the cigarette lighter socket.

  • Operational modes: 3 modes can be selected by using the mode selector MODE (3.) button: video recording, photoshooting, video and photo playback. The associated pictograms appear in the top left corner. The symbols in the various menu items can also be seen on the basic screen when the function is activated. To move up / down, use the ▲▼ buttons (4., 6.), press OK (5.) to open the function, press MENU (7.) to exit the submenus.

  • Checking the recordings: select the playback mode (film strip symbol in the upper left corner). Use the stepper buttons to locate the desired recording. In case of video, press OK to start or pause playback, while adjust the volume using the ▲▼ stepper (4., 6.) buttons. After pressing the MENU (7.) button once, you can erase or protect the recording from a later deletion or start an automatic slideshow with the desired delay. Select the desired function using the stepper buttons and then press the OK button. Press the MENU button to return to the main menu from the submenus.

  • Video recording
This mode is active after the charging cable is connected or the power button (OK) is pressed. Recording starts if an appropriate memory card has been placed in the device. A red indicator starts flashing in the lower left corner of the screen; the recording can be paused and resumed using the OK button. In the menu, you can turn on the delayed switch-off of the background lighting or this can be done manually at any time by pressing and holding the MENU button as well. In this case, the recording continues but the screen will be dark. By pressing and holding the MENU button once again, the background lighting of the screen can be turned on again. You can turn audio recording on and off if you press the ▼ button during the recording of a video footage. If you can see a microphone symbol in the upper band of the screen, crossed out by a red X, this means that audio is not being recorded with the video footage.

  • Camera
Select the photo mode with the MODE button (camera icon in the top left corner). Press OK (7) to take a picture. During video recording, you can not switch to another mode, stop recording first.

  • Playback
Select playback mode using the MODE button. You can select photographs and video footages found on the memory card using the ▲▼buttons. Photographs and videos can be told apart based on their .avi or .jpg file extensions. To play back or pause the selected video file, press the OK button. You can change the volume using the up/down buttons.

  • Anti-shaking protection
In the camera menu (Anti-Shaking) it is possible to adjust the camera’s powerful motion in the recording less disturbing. Probe recording allows you to check the most suitable setting for you.

  • Night mode (NIGHTVISION) and WDR function
The night vision function of the camera provides high sensitivity without the usual LED illumination even in low light conditions. Dark details are more visible than usual. Turning WDR (Wide Dynamic Range) on regardless of the light conditions provides the best picture quality available.

  • Automatic recording to motion detection
In the menu (Motion Detection), it is possible to adjust if the camera detects movement, the recording starts automatically and records a short period. If no changes are made in front of the lens, recording will be paused. This function detects a significant change in the field of vision.

  • Automatic recording in „Parking monitor” mode
In the menu (Parking Monitor) there is an option, which allows you to configure that when a collision occurs, the recording will start automatically and record for 5-10-30 seconds. If someone has injured your car parked in your absence, it is likely to be able to capture the camera. The magnitude of the collision resulting in the recording can be controlled by the sensitivity of the gyroscope (G-Sensor).

  • Lane departure warning (LDWS; Lane Departure Warning System)
The device has been prepared to signal the driver with a beep- beep sound if he or she leaves the traffic lane due to inadvertence. Activate the function in the LDWS menu. For reliable operation of the function, continuously, smoothly, properly and visibly painted markings are necessary. If this is not provided because of the local road network deviations, it is recommended that you disable this feature to prevent false warnings.

  • LDWS Setting: for calibration, use the UP / DOWN arrows to move up and down and left to right the coloured image appearing on the screen. The top red line represents the distance between the vehicle ahead and the green dashed lines indicate the lane markings. Standing in a parking place, set the desired view according to the vehicle’s features. Exit with MENU button.

  • Forward collosion warning (FCWS; Forward Collosion Warning System)
The device has been prepared to alert the driver with a Beep-Beep sound if it is too small for an inadequate tracing distance. Operation depends on the calibration described in the previous section.

  • Cyclical, but continuous shooting
When the „Loop Recording” function of the MENU is active, the camcorder is taken one after the other for the duration of the recording depending on the setting, which is added to continuous recording. After using the full capacity of the memory card, only the oldest recording cycle will be erased according to the selected duration. This ensures the least possible loss of information when deleting old recordings. Auto-delete does not work if Loop Recording is off or if Protect is used to protect the recordings against erasing.

  • Automatically lock important shots (G-Sensor)
Thanks to the built-in gyroscope, the camera can detect when a collision has occurred. In this case, the current recording cycle is locked and will not be cancelled even if the recording is prolonged. When the memory card is full, the oldest recordings are always erased, but the protected file will be retained. Cameras without this feature often automatically and unnoticeably erase the important recording by the time it is needed. This function can be activatedand its sensitivity can be set in the G-Sensor menu item. Depending on the vehicle and road conditions, adjust the sensitivity of the G-Sensor individually. In case of setting it too sensitive, a lot of recording cycles may become protected against erasing unnecessarily and memory card gets full due to protected shots. Irrespective of automatic locking, you can protect the current part of the recording manually at any time. Press ▲button for 3 seconds during the recording and the cycle you are recording becomes protected against automatic deletion. Pressing the button again keeps this function clear and the „key” symbol disappears from the screen. Protected video footages are stored in a separate folder.

  • Delete or protect the recordings
In Playback mode, use the stepper buttons to select the recording to be deleted or protected from deleting. Press the MENU button, then use the ▼buttons to select the desired option, which you can confirm with the OK button.
Delete: Delete a defined one or all of the recordings.
Protect: Lock or unlock all of the captures or unlocks.
Slide Show: Slide Show mode allows you to scroll through a specified delay. Of course, you can also delete or copy the recordings with a PC. If you have a card reader, you can also move the memory card to sort the recordings.

  • Settings in the MENU
This device has countless features that are forward-looking, novel. Please review the structure of the menu to find out what services are available and adjust the functionality of the various functions according to your individual needs. Depending on which mode the device is in, various setting options can be accessed by pressing the MENU button (3) one time. The second key press in all three modes has the same SETUP menu for the general settings. Use the ▲▼and OK buttons to scroll and select, to exit the MENU button. The MENU is not available during recording.

  • Using of the rear-view camera
The backward camera allows you to observe the events behind the vehicle, not only during shunting, but also during transport. Placing inside the vehicle, you can check the rear passenger or cargo space. The image of the front and rear camera are saved into separated directories. The two views can be changed by pressing the ▲button or can be seen simultaneously – picture in picture mode .The camera is weather-resistant and has built-in 4 x LED lighting. It is recommended by a qualified technician to securely fasten and connect the red (+ 12 V) and black (GND) wires to the reversing lamp with the appropriate polarity. As a result, the reversing is detected by the device and the built- in LEDs of the rear camera illuminate under the maneuver. You get the power from the main camera and connect the 4-pin, ∅2,5 mm plug to the socket on the upper corner of the camera. After you connect it, the rear view camera image is immediately displayed in the upper right corner of the screen. Press the ▲button or the reverse gear to display the full shutter view and the colour guide lines to help parking. When determining the position of the rear view camera take into consideration the protected, safe fixing is and to avoid turning the image on the screen. IP44: protected against splashing water and penetration of >1 mm diameter bodies. The camera shows a reversed image, similarly to the rear-view mirror. In the case of vehicles with a 24-volt power supply, the red cable, which has to be connected to the reverse light, has to be connected via a 390 Ohm / 0.5 W power supply (not included), which is able to provide 12 V voltage to the 4 LED lights.
