EX-RELEVANT SAFETY REGULATIONS
Use of this device assumes that the operator observes the conventional safety regulations and has read and understood the manual, safety instructions, and certificate.
The following safety regulations must also be complied with:

  • Inside ex-hazardous areas, the covers of all interfaces must be closed.
    To ensure the IP-protection, it has to be ensured that all gaskets are present and functional. There must be no large gap between the two halves of the housing.

  • The device may only be charged outside ex-hazardous areas using the i.safe PROTECTOR 2.0 or i.safe PROTECTOR 3.0 USB-cable or other equipment approved by i.safe MOBILE GmbH.

  • The device may only be used in zones 1, 21, 2, 22, M1, or M2.
    The device may only be charged at ambient temperatures between +5°C … +35°C. The device may not be exposed to any aggressive acids or alkalis.
    The device shall be protected against the effects of oils, greases, and hydraulic fluids.

  • The device must be protected from impacts with high impact energy, against excessive UV light emission and high electrostatic processes.
    The ISM interface of the 15530.M1 can be used within hazardous areas with approved ac­cessories. For ISM interface use, the i.safe MOBILE headset IS- HS1.1 and the trigger handle IS-TH1xx.M1 is approved. If the ISM interface is not used, it must be securely closed by the cover provided for this purpose.
    The SD cards type IS-SD164.1 and IS-5D1128.1 may be used in the corresponding slot in the hazardous area.

  •  SIM cards that comply with the intrinsic safety entity parameters may be used in the corres­ponding slots in the hazardous area.

INFORMATION CONCERNING SAR CERTIFICATION (SPECIFIC ABSORBATION RATE)
Maximum SAR values for this model and the conditions under which these were determined:

This device was tested for typical body-worn operations with the back of the handset kept 5 mm from the body. The device complies with RF specifications when the device is used at 5 mm from your body.

  • Adapter shall be installed near the equipment and shall be easily accessible.

The WLAN function for this device is restricted to indoor use only when operating in the 5150 to 5350 MHz frequency range.
