Connections

Connecting the Microphone(s)

Microphones:
Connect a microphone into MIC jack 1 u as well as MIC jack 2 v (when desired).
Note: Do not drop or tap the Mic as damage to the Mic or speakers may occur. Do not twirl the microphone by cord as it will cause damage to the encased wiring.

Connecting to AC Power

Insert the AC power cord into a conveniently located AC outlet having 120V AC, 60Hz.
Note: Make all connections before connecting to AC power.

Connecting the Unit to a TV

To output the video, lyrics and audio to your TV, perform the following steps:
Plug the HDMI cable (not included) into the HDMI Jack on the back of the unit. Plug the other end of the HDMI cable into the HDMI input on your TV.
Notes:

• This unit can be used with or without a TV, but it is highly recommended to use a TV in order to utilize all the features.
• Also refer to the TV’s User Guide.

Lights Mode

When the unit is turned on, the Light mode 1 is automatically activated. The lights will light up and will synchronize with sound when you speak or sing into the microphone. Press the LIGHTS button for Light mode 2 which will display the light show but will not respond to the microphone. Press the LIGHTS button once again to turn off the Lights.

Cradle

Connect to WiFi

1. Connect the unit as described previously; it should be connected to a TV. Press and hold the /(ON/STANDBY/LIGHTS) button to turn the unit on. The menu window will pop up.

2. Select SETTINGS OPEN using the NAV/ENTER button. Search and select your home’s WiFi using the NAV/ENTER button. Input your WiFi password to complete the login process.
   Note:

   • Rotate the NAV/ENTER button to navigate. Press the button to enter.
   • This unit supports 2.4GHz WiFi only.

3. USE YOUR MOBILE DEVICE TO CONNECT TO WiFi
   Select SINGCAST CASTING OPEN using the NAV/ENTER button. Use your mobile device to scan the QR code. Search and select SML2035 on the WiFi network. Input the password singing maching to complete the login process. Search and select your home’s WiFi on your mobile device. Input your WiFi password to complete the login process. If unsuccessful, check your password and Wi-Fi frequency and re-connect again.
   Note: Make sure the mobile device and unit’s Wi-Fi network use the same.

Settings

1. Press the BACK button to go back to the previous screen. Select SETTINGS OPEN using the NAV/ENTER button.
2. Select WiFi setting to connect or disconnect from the Wifi network and check the WiFi signal level.
3. To adjust the brightness, sleep time, font size of screen, and HDMI, select Screen setting.
4. Select Software update to update the software of the unit.
5. Select Software info to check the software version of this unit.
6. Select Factory setting to delete all data stored in the unit.

Operation

Using a Bluetooth Device

1. Connect the unit as described previously. Press and hold the / (ON/STANDBY/LIGHTS) button to turn the unit on.
   3 WAYS TO ENTER BLUETOOTH MODE

2. Repeatedly press the FUNCTION button to select the Bluetooth; “bt” will appear in the display.

3. Press the button; “bt” will appear in the display.

4. Select BLUETOOTH OPEN in the menu using the NAV/ENTER button, select CONNECT in the Wi-Fi setting and connect as previously described; it should be connected to a TV.

5. Turn on your device’s Bluetooth option in settings to search for a discoverable device with a Bluetooth signal. Select “SINGING MACHINE” from the device results on the Bluetooth menu.
   NOTE: Also refer to the user manual of your Bluetooth device for detailed instructions.

6. “bt” and bluetooth indicator will light solid and a successful pairing sound will be heard.
   Using a Bluetooth Device

NOTES:

  * If your Bluetooth prompts you for a passcode during the pairing process, please enter “0000” to connect.
  * On some Bluetooth devices, once pairing is completed, select your Bluetooth device as “Use as Audio Device” or similar.
  * If connection is lost after successful pairing, check to make sure the distance between speaker and Bluetooth-enabled device does not exceed 30 feet/10 meters.

7. The unit automatically searche and pairs a previously paired Bluetooth device (if previously paired). If no previously paired devices are present and you cannot find this unit on your bluetooth compatible device’s search list. You can also press and hold the button to disconnect any paired devices in order to pair another device. Or select DISCONNECT in the Wi-Fi setting and connect as previously described; it should be connected to a TV. The “ bt & Pr” and bluetooth indicator will start flashing for 60 seconds. Pair another devices when flashing.
8. To control your Bluetooth device from this unit, press the PLAY/PAUSE button to start playback (music app must be open). Press the PLAY/PAUSE button during playback to pause the song.
9. Adjust the volume to a comfortable level using the MUSIC VOLUME control on this unit as well as the volume on your Bluetooth device.
10. Connect microphone(s) and slide the ON/OFF switch on the  microphone to the ON position.
11. Adjust the MIC VOLUME control as desired. Increasing this control  will increase the volume of both microphones.
12. SKIP: Advance or go back one track by pressing the To sing without the lead singer on OFF button; the bluetooth indicator will turn light solid red. To resume the lead singer, press and hold the VOCALS OFF button again.
13. Note: The Vocal off function might not work perfectly. It is song dependent.
14. Press the ECHO + or – button to add an echo effect to your voice.
15. Press the ON/STANDBY button to turn the unit off. The power indicator will turn off.

Troubleshooting Guide

Should this unit exhibit a problem, check the following before seeking service:

No Power:

• Power is not on; press the ON/STANDBY button to turn power on.
• Confirm the AC adapter is connected securely to the back of the unit.
• Connect the unit to a different outlet.
• The normal function of the product may be disturbed by strong Electro-Magnetic Interference. If so, simply restart the product to resume normal operation by following the instruction manual. In case the function could not resume, please use the product in another location.

No Sound – General

• MUSIC VOLUME is set to minimum; raise volume.
• Correct Function was not selected; select using the FUNCTION button.
• If using an external device, raise the volume.

No Sound – If connected to a TV

• Volume on the TV is muted or too low.
• Correct source (usually AV) was not selected on the TV’s menu.

No sound from the microphone

• Make sure the microphone is firmly connected to the MIC 1 or MIC 2 jack.
• Make sure the Mic’s ON/OFF switch on the Mic is set to the ON position.
• Make sure the mic’s volume is not set too low.
• MUSIC VOLUME is set to minimum; raise volume.

The Bluetooth device cannot be paired or connected with the unit

• Ensure any other Bluetooth devices are turned off to avoid accidental pairing.
• You have not activated the Bluetooth function of your device; see page E10 or refer to the Bluetooth device user’s manual.
• The system is not in pairing mode; press and hold the PLAY/PAUSE button to restart pairing.

The Music is not available on the unit after successfully connecting the Bluetooth

• Ensure your Bluetooth device can support the A2DP Bluetooth profile.
• The volume on the external Bluetooth device is set to low or muted; raise as desired.

Failed to connect to the Wifi network

• The unit is not within the WiFi signal range.
• Check that your WiFi frequency is 2.4GHz.
• Check the mobile device and unit are use the same Wi-Fi network.
• Ensure you have entered the correct password.
