INSTALLATION
How many wires does your existing pump have? 2 wires, plus ground, no control box is needed. 3 wires, plus ground, a control box with the same voltage and HP as the pump is required
How to wire your submersible pump
Use only copper wire for connections from the pump motor to the power supply. Match wire color and lengths between the motor and power supply.
230V wiring Diagram. 3-wire connections to control box (Yellow to Y, Red to R, Black to B). 2-wire connections (both black to power, green to ground)
As a general guideline: 1/2HP will pump from 60-100 ft, 3/4HP will pump from 100-175 ft, and 1HP will pump from 175-250 ft.
