INSTRUCTION MANUAL
PLEASE MAKE SURE THE VOLTAGE SWITCH INSIDE THE BATTERY COMPARTMENT ‘8 SET TO
THE AC VOLTAGE OF THE COUNTRY YOU ARE CURRENTLY USING THE STEREO IN.

- Locate the voltage switch found In the battery compartment. Check the lower right comer for voltage position.
- Use a thin tool to toggle the switch to the prop8’voltage position (110V or 220V).
- OJ Find the AC power cord to the J-220BT located on the back panel of the unit.
- C!J Find a power outlet (AC 120V/60Hz) and connect the AC cord to the socket to supply the unit with power.
- C!J Move to the top of part of the panel and set the switch to USB.
- Insert a USB flash drive in the USB port located below the cassette compartment. The J-220BT will automatically begin playing the .mp3 content.
- Use the Knob to adjust the Master Volume to your taste.
QUICK START GUIDE
STEP SETUP GUIDE
- Step OJ Find the AC power cord to the J-220BT located on the back panel of the unit.
- Find a power outlet (AC 120V/60Hz) and connect the AC cord to the socket to supply the unit with power.
- Move to the top of part of the panel and set the switch to USB.
- Insert a USB flash drive in the USB port located below the cassette compartment. The J-220BT will automatically begin playing the .mp3 content.
- Use the Knob to adjust the Master Volume to your taste.
- Press the Forward and Rewind keys to move to the next track or prevous
Bluetooth MP3 Instructions:
Set the function switch to the MP3/BT posijion. After hearing the Bluetooth
prompting sound, open the Bluetooth settings on your mobile device to search
the FP-BT. Select the option to connect. You will then hear a sound and see a
light flash. Now you can select music from your favorite music app.
USB/SDCard:
Insert a USB/SD Card in the corresponding port for music playback. The content
will begin playing automatically. Use the Forward and Rewind functions on the
unit to navigate through the .mp3 music.
Recording Function:
Radio Recording: Set the function swijch to the RADIO position and select the
desired station. Insert a USB or SD Card into the device, then press the RED
button to start recording when the REC/MP3 PLAY light turns on. If you want to
exit the recording, press the “REC” button again or set the function switch to
the USB position to exit the recording.

BASIC OPERATION
AC Operation
- Before connecting the unit to an AC outlet, check the operating VOLTAGE of the unit 1s 1dent1cal with the VOLTAGE of your local power supply
- Connect the supplied AC power cord to the AC socket at the back of unit
- The battery will be automatically disconnected when the AC Power cord 1s plugged into the socket
Battery Operation
Unplug the AC cord from AC Jack. This umt requires UM IX4 (not included), open
battery insert the battenes 1n the battery compartment at the downside of the
umt, be careful of pos的n according to the notes. Close the battery cov
- Select required band (FM/AM/SW1-SW2) with BAND selector
- Select desired station by rotating the TUNING control
- The bu仆t-in antenna is directional. When receiving FM or SW-1-SW-2 broadcast, pull out the telescopic antenna in full length; the strongest reception can be achieved by rotating and searching for the strongest signal
- Adjust VOLUME control to your listening preference
- To turn off the radio, set the function selector to TAPE (OFF) button. Listen with headphones (not 1ncluded).\For private listening, you can use headphones with the unit Connect the headphones (not included) to the headphone jack at the side of the unit. The sound from the speakers automatically turn off when headphones are connected to the unit
Playback Operation
- Set the function selector to the TAPE position
- Press the STOP/EJECT button to open the cassette door Insert the cassette so the open side faces up. Close the cassette door.
- Use the following buttons and controls for cassette play

PLAY
Press Play to begin playing the cassette tape -
F. FWD
Press to rapidly advance the cassette tape forward -
REWIND
Press to rapidly rewind the cassette tape back STOP -
Stop
playing or release the F.FWD and REW button
AuTO STOP:
- Cassette tape w小automatically stop when it reaches the end
PAUSE
- Press to stop playing or recording. The use of the PAUSE button does not disturb the setting for either play or record. This function should be used for a temporary stop. It 1s best to use the pause button when recording. Press PAUSE again to resume playing back or recording.
VOLUME CONTROL
- Slide the control to the right to increase the volume. Slide the control to the left to decrease the volume
Directly Recording from the Radio
- Set the function selector to the radio pas仆10n
- Turn ON the radio station you want to record
- Insert a blank cassette into the tape compartment
- Press the Record and Play button to begin recording
- Press the Stop button to end the recording or press the pause button to pause the recording.
Care and Maintenance
To ensure optimum performance from your unit, keep the tape 1ns1de clean. To
clean the tape path, open the cassette door Moisten a cotton swab with
1sopropyl alcohol or special tape head cleaning fluid. Remove any excess
alcohol from the swab. Clean the tape head, capstan and pinch roller. Avoid
scratching the head surface To clean the unit housing, use a soft damp cloth.
After cleaning, wipe the unit surface with a dry cloth
CAUTION· Never use chemicals such as benzene or paint thinner for
cleaning
Keep magnets and metallic objects away from the tape head. If the head becomes magnetized, noise will increase and the volume tone will deteriorate and poss心y cause damage
TROUBLESHOOTING
If the Cassette tape fails to move, you get poor reception, or fluctuating volume, try replacing the batteries or connect the unit to a power source Radio to Tape Recording
- Set the function selector to the radio position
- Turn ON the radio station you want to record
- Insert a blank cassette into the tape compartment
- Press the Record and Play button to begin recording
- Press the Stop button to end the recording or press the pause button to pause the
Tape to .mp3 Recording
Set the function switch to TAPE and insert your music cassette tape. Insert a
USB or SD Card and wait for the REC/MP3 light to turn on and the press the REC
button. Press play on the cassette tape to begin the .mp3 conversion. The
J-220BT converts at a resolution of 128Kbps

Set the function switch to USB and insert your blank USB or SD Card Wait for
the
REC/MP3 light to turn on and then press the REC button Begin talking to record
to from the Bu1ld-1n m1c The J-220BT converts at a resolution of 128Kbps.
Press and hold the REC/DEL button to erase the current loaded track
Bluetooth to Tape Recording
Set the function switch to MP3/BT position and insert your blank cassette
tape. After hearing the Bluetooth prompting sound, open the Bluetooth settings
on your mobile device to search the FP-BT. Select the option to connect. You
will then hear a sound and see a light flash. Select music from your favorite
music app and then press the Record and Play buttons on the tape deck to begin
the transfer.
