ELINZ DCREARV2 Car Rear-View Mirror DVR

Notes

  1. If abnormal conditions appear, such as crack of the charger’s housing and crack of the product’s housing, please immediately discontinue use of the product and contact our support staff.
  2. Do not operate the product while driving, to avoid possible accidents due to distracted attention.
  3. If the product needs cleaning, please use soft cloth and gently scrub the product. Do not use any chemical agents to clean the product.
  4.  Do not expose the product to heat or direct sunlight for a long time, especially such heat environment in the vehicle.
  5. Do not store or use the product in a humid environment, or in an environment with inflammable, explosive or corrosive gas or liquid.
  6. Do not remove or insert the TF card when the product is recording.

Functions of buttons and interface

  1. Power
    Function 1: power on/off
    Press and hold “power” button for 3 seconds to manually turn on/off the product.Function 2: back light on/off
    Press “power” button to turn on/off back light. (This function  does not influence video recording.)

  2. Reset
    If the DVR’s system is halted, press “reset” button to turn off the DVR .

  3. USB power interface Connect
    DC 5V power supply.

  4. Rear camera interface
    Connect the rear camera.

  5. TF card slot
    Insert a TF card and the video files will be saved in the TF card.

Operation guide

Installation of the car DVR

  1. Turn off the vehicle engine.

  2. Insert a TF card into the card slot on the DVR.
    [Attention] Please use a high-speed TF card (Class 10) with capacity of 8GB at least. 64GB is supported at most;

  3. Use the rubber buckle on the back to fix the DVR on the original rear view mirror in the vehicle.

  4. Plug the vehicle charger into the vehicle’s cigarette lighter, and plug the charger’s USB port into the DVR’s USB power interface.

  5. Install the rear camera on the back of the vehicle. Pay attention to the direction during installation. Wires could be laid along the vehicle ceiling. When installation is completed,
    connect the rear plug to the rear camera’s interface on the DVR.
    [Attention ] If the reversing camera is needed, it is necessary to connect the red wire for the rear camera to the positive pole of the reversing light. Please contact a 4S shop or a professional maintenance shop to complete the installation.

  6. Adjust the position of the camera to make sure that the camera is parallel to the ground.

  7.  Start the vehicle engine to check if the DVR is correctly i nstalled
    [Attention] If the TF card is first used for the DVR, please format the TF card in the DVR’s menu.

Brief introduction to functions

Introduction to the main screen

Click “Settings” to enter the setting screen for video recording setting and the system setting.

Video resolution: 1296SHD and 1080FHD are available to set the DVR’s video resolution. Check one of them to select video resolution and click the return icon to return to the setting menu.

Loop recording: The video duration could be set as off, 1 minute, 2 minutes, 3 minutes or 5 minutes.

Motion detection: It could be set as on or off. When motion detection is on and the DVR is recording, then if the front camera does not detect a moving object for 10 seconds, the DVR will stop recording video to save card memory; if the front camera detects a moving object, the DVR will automatically start recording video. If motion detection is off, then the DVR will keep recording. An icon “F” will be displayed in the screen when motion detection is on.

G-sensor: The sensitivity of G-sensor could be set as off/high/medium/low. When G-sensor is on, if vibration (like collision) occurs during video recording, the current video will be locked automatically. Please choose the sensitivity of G-sensor based on actual need. An icon “G” will be displayed in the screen when G-sensor is on.

[Attention ] When G-sensor is on, the files might be locked due to road bumps while driving. If too many files are locked, available memory of the TF card will be reduced. Please format the TF card on a regular basis (around every two or three weeks) through this product’s formatting function to ensure the DVR works properly.
Park mode: Four options of off/high/medium/low are available for collision induction based on the sensitivity of G-sensor. An icon “P” will be displayed in the screen when the park mode is on.

[Reminder] The sensitivity of G-sensor could be adjusted. The default sensitivity is off. Please change the G-sensor setting in “settings” based on actual need.

Time/date settings: In the time/date setting screen, click up or down arrow to choose correct date and time. After setting is completed, click the return icon and the time/date settings will be automatically saved. If the time/date settings could not be automatically saved, just need to turn off the DVR after setting the correct time and date, and then turn on the DVR.

[Attention] Please set the correct date and time before use  the DVR, in order to effectively record the correct date and time if the accident occurs.

  • Frequency of light source: Two options of 50Hz and 60Hz are available.

  • Screen saver: If no operation on the DVR, the countdown to turning off back light could be set as off, 30 seconds, 1 minute or 3 minutes. After the screen saver starts, click the screen and the screen back light will be on automatically. If the countdown is off and no operation on the DVR, the screen back light will be always on.

  • Music for turning on/off the DVR: It can be set as on/off. If it is off, no music is played when users turn on/off the DVR.

  • Language setting: In the language setting screen, English, Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, Japanese, Spanish and Thai are available for users to choose. After choosing a language, click the return icon and the language setting will be valid immediately; The DVR will automatically switch to the screen display in corresponding language.

  •  License plate watermark: In the screen of setting the license plate watermark, users could choose the license plate number by clicking up/down buttons. If the watermark is on, then the license plate watermark is displayed during video playback and video recording.   •  Default setting: Two options of Confirm and Cancel are available. Click “Confirm”, and the DVR will be reset to factory defaults.

  •  Format: Two options of Confirm and Cancel are available. C lick “Confirm”, and the memory card will be formatted.
    Attention: If the TF card is first used for the DVR, please format the TF card. After the card is formatted, all contents in the card are deleted and unrecoverable. Please carefully choose to format it.

  •  Version: The version number of current firmware is displayed.

Click “playback” to enter the playback screen and view videos in the TF card.

  •  The lock icon is at the top right corner. indicates the current video is locked. Click it again to unlock the current video and the lock icon changes to .
  • Click the icon to delete the current video or image, except the locked files.
  • previous button page-left;  next button: page-right. Page-left and page-right buttons are for switching videos or captured pictures to view. Click the icon play to play the current video. Click the pause icon to pause the current video. Click the icon to pause the current video
  • : fast backward. : fast forward. Four options of speed f or playing files are available: normal, 2X, 4X and 8X.
  •  MOVA0001.AVI(1/70) indicates that the current video is the first video and there are 70 videos or pictures totally. PICA0064(64/70) indicates that the current picture is the 64th captured picture.

Click “stream video” to enter the stream video in full screen. This function requires the rear camera.

  • Click the screen to pop up the icon , which indicates enhanced night vision is on. Click the icon again and the icon changes to , which indicates enhanced night vision is off.
  • up button drag the image up down button : drag the image down. Users can also slide the screen up or down to adjust the displayed zone of the image in the screen, and slide the screen left or right to switch among the front-camera display, the rear-camera display and display of both front camera and rear camera.

  •  Lock icon indicates the current video recorded is locked and this file won’t be overwritten. The video file could be locked manually and also could be locked through G-sensor.

  • Recording icon indicates the DVR is not recording; the  icon indicates the DVR is recording. In the recording screen, the time stamp is displayed, like 00:33

  • shortcut button to return to the main menu

  • shortcut button to turn on/off audio recording when the DVR is recording video.
    The icon indicates audio recording off.

  • Shortcut button to capture pictures. This function is only applicable during video recording. Click the icon and there will be click sounds, indicating that it is capturing two pictures.

  • The button to switch front/rear camera display, which can be done by sliding the screen right or left. Slide the screen up or down to adjust the displayed zone of the current image in the screen.

Reversing camera
After the vehicle is put into reverse, the DVR’s screen is switched to the rear camera screen and displays auxiliary lines for reverse. After vehicle reversing is completed, the DVR’s screen automatically returns to the normal screen.

[Attention ] If the reversing camera is needed, it is necessary to connect the red wire for the rear camera to the positive pole of the reversing light. Please contact professional vehicle maintenance staff to complete the installation.
