INTRODUCTION
Congratulations on your choice of TESY Air Cleaner.
We highly recommend that you operate the Air Cleaner 24 hours a day, because indoor air can be quickly contaminated by activity or objects in a room and infiltration of outside air. Portable air cleaners are much more effective in rooms where all doors and windows are closed.
The appliance will give you long-lasting service if operated and taken care of correctly in accordance with these instructions.
HOW IT WORKS
Air to be cleaned enters through specially designed openings on the front panel and goes out at the back upper part of the appliance through the fan protection cover. Protection cover is designed with a peculiar shape in order to reduce noise emissions of the appliance. That allows you to use your Air cleaner all the time – 24 hours a day and even in your bedroom.
Note: Keep air inlet and outlet openings clear from any objects: objects
should be away at least 1.5m in front and 1.5m above the appliance.
- Pre-filter – Pre-filter made of active carbon
- HEPA filter – HEPA filter
- VOC filter – filter with granulated active carbon
- TiO2 mesh – Photocatalytic filter
- UV lamps – Ultra-violet lamps
- Ionizer – Ionizer
Pre-filter: The pre-filter is made from active carbon and is intended to absorb smell from cooking ant pets as well as tobacco smoke. It also retains bigger dust particles, fluff or pets’ fur hairs.
HEPA filter: The function of the HEPA filter is to absorb particles – dust, pollen, fungi spores and different kinds of bacteria. HEPA filter can not absorb particles smaller than 0.3 micron – such as chemical evaporations, gases, some tobacco smoke particles, germs and viruses. HEPA filter efficiency is up to 99.97%
VOC: filter with granulated active carbon has a very good absorbing capacity to smells, gases and tobacco smoke.
TiO2: The photocatalytic filter reduces organic pollutants– benzol and ammonia. It also desactivates bacteria and viruses which pass through previous filters and which are not absorbed because of their size.
UV lamps: The ultra-violet lamps destroy effectively microorganism cells including microbes, viruses, bacteria and fungi which are nor absorbed by previous filters because of their size
Ionizer: The ionizer disperses negative ions in the room in order to enhance cleaning process and at the same time it freshens up air. Negative ions combine with dust particles in the air and fall to the floor because of their own weight (dust and ions that have combined with it). Room floor is necessary to be cleaned on a regular basis.
OPERATION
Note: NEVER operate the Air Cleaner without the HEPA filter properly installed. This could lead to permanent motor and appliance damage.
Advice: Each time you start the Air Cleaner, it is a good idea to run it
at H speed for a few seconds for fast, initial cleaning. Then set to M
(medium), L (low) or leave at H (high) as desired.
This Air Cleaner is equipped with an active carbon Prefilter, HEPA Filter, granulated active carbon filter, Photo catalytic filter, UV lamps and Ionizer.
INITIAL START-UP
-
Take the Air Cleaner out of its packing.
-
Remove the protection polyethylene envelope above the granulated active carbon filter (VOC).
-
Ensure that the filters are arranged correctly and check if all of them are positioned in their place (in accordance with the filters diagram above).
-
Connect the power cord to an electricity outlet in a correct manner (Before switching on the appliance ensure that the technical plate voltage concurs with the voltage in your electricity system).
-
Press the power button to turn the air cleaner on.
Press the same button again to turn the air cleaner off. -
Press the fan button to select the fan speed: L (Low) > M (Medium) > H (High)
-
Press the clock button to select the timer-off function: 1 > 2 > 4
The timer-off can be set to 1 – 7 hours. The air cleaner will automatically turn off after it has been in operation for the selected hours. -
Press the ion button to turn on the ionizer function.
Press the button again to turn this function off. -
Press the UV button to turn on the UV function.
Press the button again to turn this function off. -
The filter indicators will light up when the filters need to be replaced. After the necessary replacement of filters hold the filter button for several seconds until the filter indicator shuts off. This will reset the hours of filters use timer.
FILTER REPLACEMENT SCHEDULE
The usable lifetime of the active carbon pre-filter is 1400 hours and usable life time of the HEPA and the VOC Filter is 2800 hours, depending on the level of the room’s air contaminants and the frequency of use.
Note: The volume of air to be cleaned will decrease considerably when the filters need to be replaced.
We recommend having at hand a spare set of filters for future replacement and depending on the filter replacement light indication to replace the filter and restart the timer of the filter that has been replaced.
Note: Photo catalytic TiO2 filter is not to be replaced.
When a special need occurs to buy a new filter it is necessary to contact the Service Headquarters in your region and request a delivery of this filter.
