    FIG. 1

USE

BEFORE USE
  1. Unpack the fan heater and all the parts from the packaging and place them on a level surface as shown.
  2. Check that the mains voltage corresponds to the rated voltage on the type plate.
  3. Plugin the plug. The fan heater is now ready to use.

IMPORTANT:

  • Do not place the fan heater near walls or corners, where the incoming or outgoing flow of air can be blocked.
  • Do not place the fan heater directly below a PowerPoint.
STATUS LIGHT

The status light on the fan heater goes on when the plug is plugged into a live PowerPoint and the power switch is in the ON position. The status light stays on even when the set temperature is reached and the thermostat has switched off, to show that the fan heater is still working.

POWER SWITCH

The power switch (3) has 4 modes:
– off
– fan only
– LOW (1200 W)
– HIGH (2000 W).
Set the power switch to the required mode.

NOTE: Switch off the fan heater with the power switch (turn to 0/off mode) and pull out the plug when the fan heater is not in use.

SETTING THE TEMPERATURE

Turn the temperature dial (1) clockwise until it clicks – this shows that the thermostat has switched on. Continue turning the dial clockwise to set the required temperature.

NOTE: The first time the fan heater is used it may emit some fumes or smell. This is quite normal and is because the heating element has a protective coating from the manufacturing. The protective coating quickly vapourises and any fumes and smell go away.

SWITCHING OFF
  1. Turn the power switch to the off position.
  2. Turn the temperature dial anticlockwise all the way.
  3. Pull out the plug and allow the fan heater to cool before putting it away.

PROTECTIVE FEATURES

Overheating protection

The overheating protection automatically switches off the fan heater if it overheats as a result of incorrect use or if used in very warm conditions. When the fan heater has cooled it can be used again. The fan heater also has a fuse plug that trips and disconnects the power in the event of severe overheating, short-circuiting, or other serious faults.

IMPORTANT: Take the fan heater to an authorized service center to be checked and repaired if problems with overheating persist.

Tip-over protection

The fan heater switches off automatically if it tips over or is turned upside down. When the fan heater has been stood upright it can be used again.

MAINTENANCE

NOTE: Switch off the fan heater, pull out the plug from the PowerPoint, and wait until it has completely cooled before cleaning and/or maintenance.

  • The most common reason for overheating is the accumulation of dust and other debris in the fan heater. Clean the ventilation openings and front grille with a vacuum cleaner at regular intervals.
  • Wipe dust off the fan heater with a soft cloth. Clean the fan heater when necessary with a cloth moistened with water and a mild detergent. Wipe dry with a soft, clean cloth.
  • The fan motor is permanently lubricated and does not need any further lubrication.
  • No further maintenance should be carried out by the user. Contact the retailer if additional maintenance or repairs are needed.
STORAGE

NOTE: Pull out the plug and allow the fan heater to cool before putting it away.

  • Pull out the plug and cover the fan heater to protect it from dust if it is not going to be used for some time.
  • Store the product in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated place.

TROUBLESHOOTING

Carry out the checks and measures in the table in the event of a malfunction. If normal functionality cannot be restored through the checks and measures in the table, or if the malfunction is not included in the table, contact the retailer.
