Designed by GamFratesi, the Smart Home Diffuser majestically combines home automation, aesthetics, and innovation. An object that consolidates both the tactile and visual values of PELLE FRAU® with the fresh luminosity of Acqua di Parma’s Home Collection fragrances. The sophisticated shape of the diffuser
is inspired by the circle, a timeless visual code that has been dear to Acqua di Parma ever since its founding as it links back to its iconic hat boxes. Translated into an organic, minimalistic, light design, it is made even more unique thanks to the sophisticated diffusion technology ensuring the perfect olfactive experience.

SMART HOME DIFFUSER

The device can diffuse up to three alternating fragrances into the air.
If connected to the Internet through a Wi-Fi network, it can be managed through a smartphone application or on a PC through a dedicated Website. Alternatively, it can also be used offline with dedicated buttons.

IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

BEFORE USING THE PRODUCTS
This manual contains important information for the correct and safe use of your Smart Home Diffuser. It is recommended to follow the various assembly steps
and store these instructions for future use.

• Position the product on a flat, empty surface. Do not cover/ obstruct the air vents on the bottom.
• Do not expose the diffuser to water or humidity.
• Do not connect the diffuser in the proximity of heat sources (fireplaces, radiators…).
• Do not position the diffuser near air sources (air conditioning, fans…).
• The diffuser is equipped with an ion lithium battery.
• Do not attempt to open the device. Do not put fingers or hands into the product. Do not attempt to open the fragrance refills.
• Fill the product with original fragrance refills.
• Do not leave the electronic diffuser and refills within the reach of children or pets.

This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the appliance in a safe way understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be performed by children without supervision.
Use only the power adapter provided to recharge the appliance.
The diffuser is recommended for spaces measuring approximately 30m². For optimal diffusion, position the device in a central part of the room. Diffusion and ventilation, as well as the openings, cannot be blocked.

DIFFUSER ASSEMBLY

Place the base (1) on a flat surface.
Place the chimney (2) on the base, remove the leather cover from its fabric pouch and place it on the chimney. There are two magnets on both sides to help find
the correct position.
Warning: Always move the diffuser by holding it from the base, not from the top.

CHARGING THE BATTERY

The diffuser is equipped with a rechargeable battery, so it can also be used wireless. For the first use, the battery must be fully charged.
Connect the cable (5) to the power adapter (5A) and to the type C USB socket (A) on the base.
The top right LED (Z) of the ON/OFF button (B) blinks slowly when the battery is charging; when the battery is charged, the top right LED (Z) remains on.
If the LED blinks fast it means that the battery is losing battery so it’s recommended to connect the diffuser to the power adapter.
The maximum battery charging time is 3 hours.
If the battery is charged, the diffuser can remain online and operate for approximately 10 hours at medium intensity.

CONNECTING AND USING THE ON-LINE

MANAGEMENT PLATFORM

To connect the device to the WI-FI network, use the QR-CODE below to download the Around App on your smartphone.

Follow the instructions as provided in the app to set up your Smart Home Diffuser.
Turn on the device by pressing the ON/OFF button (B). The bottom led (Y) of the ON/OFF button (B) turns on to show that the diffuser is on. The top left LED (X) of the ON/OFF button (B) starts to blink.
As soon as the smart diffuser is connected to the network, this light will remain on. Now the device is ready to be used with the app.
Each fragrance refill is equipped with a smart system that is recognized by the device, which then automatically selects the most suitable model for every fragrance’s olfactive characteristics to be delivered in the most optimal, enjoyable way.
The diffuser can also be connected by registering it from your PC through the following online platform: www.airound.com
Always leave the device ON if you want to be able to access it remotely.
The same diffuser can be connected to multiple accounts, the same account can also be paired with multiple diffusers.

INSERTION OF FRAGRANCE REFILLS

In order to access the diffuser base, first, remove the leather cover, then the chimney.
The different fragrances are encapsulated in special “beads” contained within the fragrance refills. The fragrance refills are then inserted into specific sealed bags to preserve the scent (4&4A).
Open the bag and take out the refill. Insert the fragrance refills into the dedicated slots. The direction in which each refill is inserted does not matter.
However, if the fragrance is not recognized by the app, try to turn the refill in the other direction and insert it again.
Put the chimney back on the base followed by the leather cover.
On average, each fragrance refill lasts for 60 hours at medium intensity. The evaporation time of an open refill that has not been used is approximately 3 months.

OFF-LINE MANAGEMENT. FRAGRANCE SELECTION AND DIFFUSION INTENSITY

The system is designed to also be used in offline mode thanks to the dedicated buttons:

1. Switch on the device using the ON/OFF button. The lower LED (Y) turns on. If there is no connection to the network, the top left LED (X) will start blinking and then switch off.
2. To select the desired fragrance, press the appropriate button (C). The fragrance refill slots are numbered from 1 to 3, starting from the left, where the ON/OFF button is located. Press once to select the fragrance in slot 1, twice to select the fragrance in slot 2, and three times to select the fragrance in slot 3. Depending on the selected fragrance, the first, second or third LED clockwise around the button (C) will light up.
3. Select the intensity of the fragrance based on room size: press the dedicated button (D) once to select low-intensity fragrance diffusion, twice for medium intensity, or three times for high intensity. Depending on the selected level of intensity, one to all three of the LEDs around the button will light up: one for low intensity, two for medium intensity, and all three for high intensity.

The diffuser is equipped with a sophisticated operating system that optimizes the release of the fragrance by alternating the diffusion fans on and off. For the most adequate diffusion, we suggest choosing the intensity based on the size of the room:
low – for rooms of about 10 m² / 100 sq. ft
medium – for rooms of about 20 m² / 200 sq. ft
high – for rooms of about 30 m² / 300 sq. ft
By using the diffusor in offline mode, the fragrance diffusion will automatically stop after 3 hours. To re-activate the diffusion, select the desired fragrance and intensity level again by repeating steps 2-3.
If you want to stop the diffusion of the fragrance without turning off the diffuser, press the button (D) as many times as needed until the LEDs around both buttons (C-D) have completely turned off.
The diffuser is programmed to notify the user when a fragrance refill is running out; the LED associated with that refill starts blinking. The warning will persist until the refill has been replaced by a new one.

RESTORE FACTORY SETTINGS

You can reset your Smart Home Diffuser by restoring the factory settings. Push the 3 buttons at the same time and hold for 5 seconds.
The top left LED (X) of the ON/OFF button (B) will begin to blink again.

POWER OFF

To turn off the device, press down the ON/OFF button (B) until the lower LED (Y) of the ON/OFF button (B) turns off.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

The device does not require any special maintenance/cleaning. However, it is recommended not to clean the product when it is turned on or connected to a power supply source. Use a dry, soft cloth for cleaning. Do not use any detergents.
For proper, regular cleaning of the leather cover, we recommend using “Leather Cleaner” wipes.
For optimal protection of the leather, we recommend following up with the “Leather Protector” wipes.
To keep the cover in good condition, we recommend using the “Elisir di Lunga Vita” kit two or three times a year.
Kits are available on www.Poltronafrau.com and at Poltrona Frau points of sale. Never use alcohol or other solvents. Prevent the leather from coming into direct contact with heat sources, always keeping the product at a minimum distance of 20-30 cm.
Avoid exposure to direct sunlight. The Saddle Extra leather cover may show a few scars, wrinkles, or veins, however, these are proof of the authenticity of the raw material.
WARNINGS: The materials used to manufacture and process the leather are carefully selected so as not to harm the health of the consumer. The present product sheet complies with the provisions of Legislative Decree no. 206 (“Consumer Code”) dated 6 September 2005 and with the Minister of Industry, Commerce and Crafts Decree no. 101 (“Implementation Regulations”) dated 8 February 1997.

WARRANTY

This product is guaranteed by the manufacturer against any manufacturing, material or functioning defects for a period of 12 months starting from the initial purchase date. If, during the warranty period, this product proves defective under normal use and maintenance, please consult the Smart Home Diffuser / Around section on our website www.acquadiparma.com.
The Manufacturer’s warranty does not cover possible damage caused by:

• Improper use, negligence, non-observance of instructions for use;
• Unauthorized modification or repair of the product carried out by unqualified staff;
• Inadequate or non-conforming electrical installation;
• Product breakage caused by falling or transport, sudden changes of voltage even if caused by weather circumstances, leaking fluids, fire or incorrect power supply.

The Manufacturer’s liability is limited to the cost of repair and/or replacement of the damaged unit during the warranty period. Repair and/or replacement, in accordance with the terms defined in this warranty, do not imply the extension or renewal of the starting date for the warranty period. The warranty is valid only upon presentation of proof of purchase (receipt, invoice, etc.) which shows when and where the product was purchased. This document must not be subject to any alterations or cancellations; if this is the case, the retailer reserves the right to refuse to intervene under warranty.

In the event of a defect after the 12 months warranty, the shipping and repair costs of the device will be charged to the customer.

WARNINGS

• At the end of its lifecycle, do not dispose of this product as household waste. Take it to a specific recycling center for electrical and electronic devices. The symbol on the product, instructions for use, and packaging provide information on how to dispose of the product. Always recycle materials as indicated by the specific symbols. Recycling materials is an important contribution to the protection of the environment. Contact your local city hall to find out about authorized recycling and disposal centers.
