INSTRUCTION MANUAL

IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS

When using electrical appliances, basic safety precauUons should always be followed, including the following:

  1. Read all instructions and save them for future reference.

  2. Use only the voltage specified on the rallng plate.

  3. Use this appliance only as described in this manual. Any other use is not recommended by the manufacture and may cause electric shock or injury.

  4. Ensure the appliance is connected lo a power point with an Eah contact If you are unsure, check with a qualified electrician

  5. To protect against the risk of electric shock, do not immerse the cord or plug in water or other liquids.

  6. Caution: Should be taken when handling a hot appliance, as it can cause serious burns.
    Also. be careful when removing the lid while cooking as steam can escape and cause burns.

  7. Do not use this appliance on a wet surtace, or where it can fall or be pushed into water.
    i.e., near sinks, baths. or showers.

  8. Do not reach for an appliance that has fallen into water. Switch off at the power supply and unplug immediately

  9. This appliance heats up when in use. To avoid burns do not let bare skin touch hot surface. Use the handles only

  10. Position the power cord so that it is safely out of the way and cannot be tripped over.

  11. Do not operate the appliance with a damaged cord, plug or aner the appliance malfunctions or has been dropped or damaged in any manner. Return to qualified electrical person for examination, electrical or mechanical adjustment. Service or repair.

  12. This appliance Is intended for household use only and not for commercial or Industrial use.

  13. Use only accessories recommended or supplied by an authorized service centre or qualified dealer. The use of accessories not intended for use with this appliance may cause injuries to the user or damage the appliance.

  14. Do not place this unit on other appliances, uneven surlaces or where it could be subject to heat sources (I. e ovens/ hot plates}, direct sunlight or excessive dust. Always operate on flat horizontal surface.

  15. Do not operate this appliance underneath or near flammable or oombustible materials such as curtains.

  16. Do not use abrasive cleaning products on this appliance. Clean with a damp cloth (not wet) rinsed in hot soapy water only. Always remove plug from the power outlet berore deaning

  17. This appliance should always be switched off before connecting or disconnecting from the power outlet

  18.  Do not remove plug from the power outlet by pulling the flexible part of the cable- always grip the plug.

  19. Always disconnect the plug from the power outlet before moving, cleaning or emptying of food.

  20. Do not allow the cord to hang over the edge of the work surface or come into contact wilh heated surfaces during operation.

  21. Do not twist, kink or wrap the cord around the appliance, as this may cause lhe insulation to weaken and split

  22. Allow the appliance to cool before cleaning or storing.

  23. Keep this appliance out or reach of children and make sure they cannot pull the power cord.

  24. This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children)with reduced physical, sensory or material capabilities ,or lack of experience and knowledge. unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safely.

  25. Children should be supervised lo ensure that they do not play with the appliance.

  26. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, it service agent or similarity qualified persons in order 10 avoid a hazard.

  27.  Any type of servicing, apart from standard cleaning, must be carried out by an authorized service center or qualified dearer. There are no user serviceable parts in lhis appliance.

  28. This appliance should not be used outdoors. placed near a hot gas or electrical burner or placed in an electric oven.

  29. Do not operate this appliance on the same circuit as any other high wattage appliance as this may cause a short circuit.

  30. Use only suitable utensils for non-stick surfaces 10 avoid scratching the surface.

  31. WARNING: Charcoal or similar combustible fuels must not be used with this appliance.

  32. Do not leave the appliance unattended when in use.

  33. Take care when removing the temperature control unit as the probe may be hot.

  34. The temperature control probe must be removed before the appliance is cleaned and the appliance power Inlet must be dried before the appliance is used again, CAUTION:DO NOT IMMERSE THE APPLIANCE IN WATER OR LIQUID

  35. Only use the temperature control probe supplied with this appliance.

  36. Attach the temperature control probe to the appliance before connecting to the power outlet.

  37. Dispose of the packaging in a responsible manner and keep all packaging materials away from children.

  38. Disconnect from the power supply when not in use.

  39. The use of this appliance with an extension cord is not recommended.

  40. No liability can be accepted for any damage caused by non-compliance with these instructions or any other improper use or mishandling of the appliance.

  41. It is recommended to have a residual current device (safely switch) installed by qualified electrician to provide additional safety protection when using all electrical appliances.

  42. Never operate the appliance with wet hands.

GETTING STARTED

Before First Use

  • Remove all packing material and please check carefully over your Frypan 10 check it has been received in good condition. If any parts appear broken or there is any damage to the cord/plug, the product should not be used and should be returned for replacement.
  • You must confirm that the voltage Indicated on the Frypan corresponds with the voltage in your home (220-240V AC)
  • If you are using the Frypan for first time, you should boil a full Frypan of water twice and then discarding the water. And, wipe the surface with a damp cloth.
  • Never connect the plug into power supply if it is no water in the Frypan.

CAUTION:
Don’t turn to “MAX” and dry boil for Jong time without water or liquid, this may damage the heating element and the non stick coating.

NOTE: When your pan is heated for first time, it may emit slight smoke or odour.
This is normal with many heating appliances. This does not affect the safety of your appliance, it should disappear after few minutes of use.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

  • It is important to look after the non-stick coating on your pan to ensure trouble free operation. Using a non-stick surface allows you to cook without fats or oils
  • Wash, rinse and dry both the pan and lid and ”season·· the cooking surface by applying a thin coat of oil to the base and sides and gently rubbing it in with a paper towel. Tum the control on full and allow to run for 2-3 minutes. If you are not planning on cooking anything, turn off the control and unplug the unit.
  • Do not let the Frypan get too hot without either oil or food on the cooking surface as high temperatures can cause discoloration of the surface and will reduce the life of the non-stick surface.
  • Normally, a medium heat setting on your pan wfll give adequate heat for most of your cooking requirements.
  • If high temperatures are required for your cooking needs, it is best to introduce the heat slowly by preheating the pan on a medium setting for a few minutes before turning the heat up further.
  • The use of plastic or wooden utensils will prolong the life of the non-stick coating. Metal utensils will damage the surface.
  • The non-stick coating is a non-toxic substance and ir unintentionally ingested, will not cause harm.
  • To clean the non-stick surtace, turn the temperature control to the “O” setting, switch the power off at the power outlet. unplug the cord and remove the temperature controller from the Frypan. CAUTION: the controller may be hot after use. in particular the metal probe. lake care when removing it.
  • Let the pan cool before washing it. NEVER PUT COLD WATER INTO A HOT FRYPAN as this may cause the body to Buckie.
  • Wash the non-stick surface. both inside and out in clean warm water and mild detergent after each use
  • If you do not clean the pan after use. it will result in a build-up of food residue, making- it difficul1 to clean later. The build up will al$0 cause damage to the non-stick surface.
  • Do not use steel wool products or scouring pads on the non-stick surface.
  • To remove stubborn food residue. use a plastic mesh pad, or other available products stating they are safe to use non-stick surfaces.
  • To clean the glass lid . wash it in warm soapy waters rinse with clean water and dry. Do not use steel wool or scouring pads on the lid.
  • Do not leave plastic or wooden utensils in the pan while it is hot.
  • Do not cut directly on the non-stick surface.
  • Do NOT place the appliance, controller or lid in the dishwasher.

NOTE:

  • If frying with oil, etc. use extreme caution, if the oil is over-heated, ii may catch on fire. Should this occur, 00 NOT try to extinguish the fire with water as this will only spread. Use a fire blanket to extinguish the flames.
  • This Electric pan is not suitable for deep frying.
  • The controller marking does not indicate “OFF•. this only indicates the lowest setting of the controller.
  • The indicator light on the controller will turn on while the pan is heating and will turn off  when the pan has reached the desired set temperature.
  • You will notice during cooking that the indicator light will tum on and off at different Intervals which indicates the temperature settl11g Is being maintained.
