GENERAL SAFETY RULES
When using electrical appliances, basic precautions should always be taken to reduce the risk of fire, electrical shock and injury to persons or property, including the following:
- Do not use this fan outdoors or anywhere near water, such as in a bathroom or laundry room.
- Do not use the fan in a window. Rain may create an electrical hazard. Do not leave the fan operating in an area where water has collected, to avoid the potential of electrical hazards.
- Do not operate the fan in the presence of explosive and/or flammable fumes.
- Do not place the fan or any parts near an open flame, cooking appliances, or other sources of high heat.
- Do not use the fan near curtains, plants, or where other objects can become caught in the blades.
- The fan must be operated in an upright position. Do not use it without the base.
- Ensure the fan is on a stable surface while in use, to prevent the fan from tipping over.
- Do not immerse the fan, plug, or power cord in water, or spray them with liquids.
- Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug, or after the appliance malfunctions or has been dropped or damaged in any manner. Have the fan repaired by a qualified service provider.
- Never insert fingers or other objects through the grille when the fan is running.
- Do not leave the fan running or operable in a place where young children or animals could access it without supervision.
- Do not allow the cord to hang down from a table or countertop.
- Do not run the power cord under carpeting. Do not cover the cord with throw rugs, runners, or similar coverings. Arrange the cord away from travelled areas where it will not be tripped over.
- Disconnect the fan from the electrical outlet when moving it from one location to another, when removing the grilles, or for cleaning.
- To disconnect, grip the plug and pull it from the wall outlet. Never yank on the cord.
- Use this fan only as it is described in this manual.
- This fan is not intended for use by people (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or who lack experience and knowledge, unless they are supervised or given instructions concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire or electrical shock, do not use this fan with any solid-state speed control device.
OPERATION
- Plug the fan into a functional 120 V outlet.
- Turn power on and adjust the fan speed by rotating the dial (Fig.1-1). This fan has 3 speeds: low speed (1), middle speed (2), high-speed (3). Button (0) switches the fan off.
HEAD ANGLE ADJUSTMENT:
The fan head is attached to its base on the sides. To direct the air in a specific angle, the fan head angle can be adjusted by moving the top by hand (Fig. 1-2).
NOTICE: Adjust the fan head angle carefully to avoid damage.
CARE & MAINTENANCE
- Maintain the tool with care. A tool in good condition is efficient, easier to control and will have fewer problems.
- Inspect the tool components periodically. Repair or replace damaged or worn components. Only use identical replacement parts when servicing.
- Make sure that the fan is turned off and unplugged before cleaning the grilles.
- Unplug the appliance from the power before servicing and cleaning.
- Clean your appliance with a slightly damp cloth and dry it up with a dry cloth.
- Maintain the tool’s labels and name plates. These carry important information. If unreadable or missing, contact Princess Auto Ltd. for replacements.
WARNING! Only qualified service personnel should repair the tool. An improperly repaired tool may present a hazard to the user and/or others.
DISPOSAL
Recycle a tool damaged beyond repair at the appropriate facility.
Contact your local municipality for a list of disposal facilities or by-laws for electronic devices, batteries, oil or other toxic liquids.
