ASSEMBLING THE RACKS FOR GRILLING AND DRYING
The appliance comes with three grill racks.
INSERTION OF THE SPIT INTO THE APPLIANCE
Use the spit for the accessory with forks or the stand for skewers/kebabs.
Insert the spit lengthways through the middle of the chicken or meat and secure the forks using the screws. Make sure that the size of the chicken or meat leaves enough room for it to rotate.
ASSEMBLY OF THE SKEWER/KEBAB STAND
When inserting into the opposite slot, secure each skewer by snapping in the clip. Insert the spit lengthways through the middle of the meat and secure the stand using the screws. Make sure that the size of the meat leaves enough room for it to rotate.
Cooking tips
- For best results, we recommend that meat and poultry dishes are turned once or twice during cooking, so that they do not dry out on the upper side and are evenly cooked and crispy. You can also turn foods such as steak to ensure even browning and cooking.
- Smaller foods usually require somewhat less cooking time than larger foods.
- Do not exceed the maximum load of the rotating mechanism of 1.5 kg. If you are grilling a chicken, wrap its body in a string so that it does not get stuck when turning the spit.
CLEANING
- Allow the appliance to cool completely before cleaning.
- When cooking foods with too high a fat content, fat may run down the inner sides of the cooking area, the safety glass on the door or fat and liquid may leak from the drip tray. Wait until the appliance cools down and immediately wipe away the fat and liquid to prevent it from getting inside the appliance.
- Clean the appliance after each use and before long periods of storage.
- We recommend cleaning the appliance as soon as it has cooled down before the remains of the food dry.
- Clean the base of the appliance with a damp cloth and detergent.
- Removable parts which are intended for contact with food can be washed in the dishwasher, but we still recommend hand washing for longer protection (durability). Wash these parts under warm running water with the addition of neutral kitchen detergent. Then rinse them with clean water, wipe them dry thoroughly and replace them. Never use abrasive detergents on these surfaces.
WARNING
NEVER IMMERSE THE APPLIANCE IN WATER OR ANY OTHER LIQUID.
PROTECTION AGAINST OVERHEATING
Once cooking has ended, the fan will continue to operate for 20 seconds to
cool the appliance down. If the appliance overheats, it switches off
automatically. Allow the appliance to cool down before using it again.
