Installation Installation

Introduction

The Bosma Motion Detector detects human movements in an area in front of it. The Motion Detector can cover an angle of up to 110° and a distance up to 40ft. When someone passes by in front of the Motion Detector, you will receive a notification on your phone. When a motion event is detected, you will see the indicator light on the Motion Detector flash once. The minimum interval between motion events is 60 seconds.

This Motion Detector must be paired with a Bosma device with a hub feature (e.g. Xl, X1 Lite Connect, CX Connect, Sentry), up to 650 feet away. If it is paired with a Bosma indoor security camera, you can also optionally configure the paired camera so that it pans to a preset position and/or automatically triggers its siren when a motion event is detected.

Recommended Locations

Locations to Avoid

  1. Avoid facing the Motion Detector towards a window, as the sunlight may affect the accuracy of motion detection.
  2. Avoid installing the Motion Detector near a heat source, such as the heater, air conditioner, microwave, etc.
  3. Avoid installing multiple Motion Detectors in close proximity.

Setup

  1. Slightly lift up the tip at the bottom of the back cover and slide down to remove the back Insert the included batteries into the battery compartments. Then replace the back cover.
  2. Open the BOSMA app. Please make sure that a BOSMA device with a hub feature has been added to your account.
  3. Tap the “+” button at the top-right corner, and select “Motion Detector”.
  4. If you have multiple BOSMA devices, select the one that you want the Motion Detector to be paired with.
  5. Long-press the Pair Button on the Motion Detector to pair it with the device. When the pairing process is completed, you should see a success message on the app.

Installation

  1. Use the provided screws and anchors to fix the mount on the wall where you want the Motion Detector to be.

  2. Plug the Motion Detector onto the mount. It should click into place.

  3. Adjust the angle of the Motion Detector so that it covers the area you want to monitor.

However. there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation. If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception. which can be determined by turning the equipment off and on. the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or more of the following measures:

  • Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna
  • Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver.
  • Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is connected.
  • Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help.

The device has been evaluated to meet general RF exposure requirements. The device can be used in portable exposure conditions without restriction.
