Introduction
The Abrites diagnostics for Honda Online is the next step in the development of the Abrites. It provides dealer-level diagnostics, live value, and diagnostic trouble code monitoring, locating, and clearing in order to assist the diagnostician to locate and resolve any issues with the vehicle at a dealer level in the environment of their own workshop. It can be installed on any Windows-based system higher than XP and requires an AVDI interface to operate.
Using the Abrites diagnostics for Honda Online
Once you have installed the Abrites diagnostics for Honda on your computer (This is usually done together with all the Abrites software from the links you have received on your e-mail address) you can enter the “Abrites Quick Start” Menu and click on the Honda Icon from the menu. Then the software will connect to the internet (make sure your internet provider has enabled port 8443) and the AVDI and you will be able to use the Abrites diagnostics for Honda software together with your AVDI. 3G and 4G networks from your phone’s hotspot option are recommended also because mobile operators almost never disable port 8443.
-
One of the first things you will notice in the Abrites diagnostics for Honda is automatic vehicle detection. Once you are connected to the vehicle and the software is started you will see that the software will automatically detect the vehicle:
-
After the vehicle is detected and the list of modules will be populated:
Entering each of these modules will show you fault codes if such are present and also, live values (if available) as well as all the identifications and extended IDs of the module.
“Key Learning” Special Function
Using the Abrites Diagnostics for Honda Key programming follows 2 main categories – key learning and all keys lost.
-
For key learning all you need to do is to start the procedure and follow the onscreen instructions – this procedure adds one key to the vehicle and also keeps the original key
(or keys) programmed to the car. -
When you do all keys lost in a situation when the car has no working keys available all keys lost procedure will add one key but will also remove all the existing keys from the car. In this manner, you will have only one working key. In order to add another key to the car, you will need to open the key learning function and use the key you made in all keys lost in order to add a second key to the car.
The Abrites Diagnostics for Honda aims to make any procedure as simple as possible. Honda vehicles have two types of immobilizer systems and 2007 is the year that separates them from each other. The procedure to add keys or perform all keys lost situations is similar in both generations and for this reason, Abrites dHioagnndoas attends the development team has made it as simple as possible to use with simple onscreen guidance as to how each procedure is performed and what comes after what.
