Safety Considerations

Warning

In order to prevent injury, fire or other accidents, please observe the following precautions:  Do not operate any the audio/video controls while driving.

  1. To prevent a short circuit, do not insert metal (coins, tools, etc.) into the unit.
  2. Do not drop or strike the unit.

Playing a disc

To play a disc, gently insert the disc (label side up) into the disc slot located below the front display and dial. The disc player will automatically pull the disc in and begin playing. This unit cannot play 8mm (3-inch) discs. Trying to do so may damage the unit.

Disc Terminology

  1. Title The title menu is the first menu to be displayed. There is only one title menu on a DVD. There may be up to 99 titles on a disc and disc authors may divide the title into as many as 999 logical chapters.
  2. Chapter Within a DVD, the viewer can navigate to specific titles or chapters within titles.
  3. Track CD and Video CD discs are divided into units referred to as tracks. (Generally, 1 song corresponds to I track. Additionally, some tracks are divided into units referred to as indexes.)

Caring for dises

  1. When touching, loading or removing discs, try not to touch playing surfaces.
  2. Do not label discs with tape or paper.
  3. Do not allow discs to be in direct sunlight or near any heat sources.
  4. Do not play warped or cracked discs.
  5. After using, store disc upright in its original case..

Cleaning Discs

  1. Fingerprints or dirt on disecs may affect sound and picture quality. To clean your dises, wipe with a soft, clean cloth. If needed, moisten a soft cloth with diluted, neutral detergent
  2. Do not clean disc s with record cleaning sprays, static prevention sprays, volatile liquids or thinners.
  3. Gently wipe from the inside toward the outer edge.
  4. Do not wipe in a circular motion.

Warning

  1. Do not place the remote control in hot areas such as on dashboards.
  2. Keep spare batteries out of reach of children.
  3. The Remote must be directed toward the front of unit, without any obstructions, to work properly.
  4. If the remote does not work or works intermittently, replace both batteries with new, matching batteries.
  5. If the remote control will be unused for a long period, remove the batteries to prevent leakage and damage.

NFC Quick-touch

if you have an NFC-enabled (Near Field Communication) smartphone and you have it activated it your smartphone’s settings, you may be able to pair with the EEDVO6 to stream music. First, pair your smartphone with the EEDVO6 via Bluetooth’. Then, with NFC activated on your smartphone, hold the smartphone within two inches of the front of the EEDVO6. The NFC sensor on the EEDVO6 should find your NFC-enabled smartphone and make a successful connection.

Bluetooth PAIRING

Pairing the EEDV06 with a Bluetooth device

  1. With the EEDVO6 powered on Press the buton marked “Blue tooth@” to enter Bluetooth setup. The EEDV06 screen will display “NO LINK” until a Bluetooth® device is successtully paired with the EEDVO6.Note: On your phone, under settings, go to Bluetooth and under Devices look for “EEDV06”.
  2. The EEDVO6 will send a password request to the Bluetooth device that reads “Enter a numeric PasskKey for Connection ***”,The factory default pass key is (0000). Enter the 4 digit humeric code to unlock the Bluetooth connection. The EEDV06 willsend a confirmation request to the device that reads “Accept
  3. Connection Request from Connection?” Confirm connection to successfully pair device with the EEDV06
  4. Pairing the EEDV06 to a cell phone will configure the EEDVO6to allow hands-free listening and talking. The built-in microphone is located on the face of the EEDV06 with a range of 12 feet.
  5. Sound is transmitted to any of the selected rooms A, B, and or C. The paired Bluetooth® connection also allows remote controlled streaming stereo audio from the paired device from as tar away as 25 feet.
  6. Bluetooth pairing is not video-enabled.

Troubleshooting

  1. No Power Check to see if the fuse is blown. If it is, replace it with a new, similar value fuse.
  2. Some errors occur in the LCD or no function when pressing the button.
  3. Turn off the unit and restart the unit again. Use Factory Default Restart. Poor radio reception or static.
  4. The antenna may not be the proper length. Make sure the antenna is fully extended. The antenna may be broken. Replace antenna. The broadcast signal is too weak.
  5. The antenna is poorly grounded. Check and make sure the antenna is properly grounded at its mounting location.
  6. The disc cannot be loaded Disc is loaded in the machine. Clear the disc by pressing the eject

  8. No Picture. The Video line from the main unit to the TV is not connected properly. Check connections. Improper setting of the TV SYSTEM. Set the TV SYSTEM to “PAL” or “NTSC”, according to the connected television.
  9. Disc error appears. The disc may be damaged or dirty.
  10. Clean disc and retry. When there is no color on video. Turn off the unit and restart the unit again. Use Factory Default Restart
  11. FACTORY DEFAULT RESET Press the reset button on the front for 10 seconds, Unit will shut of. Restart unit by pressing the ON button. Factory defaults will be reset with this type of restart.
  12. NOTE: lf any of the problems persist after check list has been made, consult your nearest service dealer Never attempt to disassemble your unit by yourself.
