The Neewer USB microphone kit comes with a NW-8000 super cardioid condenser microphone along with boom arm and a shock mount. The microphone is a simple plug and play USB mic with a USB A to USB B cable. It doesn’t require any battery or any external card. It is a super cardioid mic which means it picks the sound that’s spoken right in to it while rejecting the external noises. This makes it perfect for vlogging, gaming, video conferencing and live streaming. The sound produced by this mic is loud and clear. It features a 16mm electret condenser transducer with a sampling rate of 192kHz/24-bit. The NW-8000 is compatible with Windows 7 or later and also with Mac OS 10.9 or later.

The kit consists of the shock mount which is perfectly holds your mic at place while absorbing noise that is caused by vibrations. The pop filter reduces plosives. The shock mount of the microphone can be vertically expanded to 180 degrees maximum.

How to setup the Neewer-8000 Microphone?

1. Put the microphone foam cap on the microphone by twisting it down in place.
2. Attach the microphone to the metal shock mount by sliding and twisting the microphone gently in to the center hole of the shock mount.
3. Now, fix the stand by unthreading the screw plate and gently sliding it in to the side of your desk or table.
4. Re-tighten the screw plate until its secured properly.
5. The scissor arm stand has two ends, one is the metal one and the other is the black slot. Put the black slot in to the black bar of the mounting clamp on the table.
6. Rotate the wheel on the mounting clamp to secure the arm properly.
7. Screw the metal shock mount in to the metal end of the scissor arm stand.
8. To install the pop-filter simply place it on to one of the scissor arms.
9. Twist the wheel to tighten it properly.
10. Rotate the bendable arm of the pop filter according to your need.

It is a plug and play system which means it doesn’t require any external sound card or computer drivers for installation. Plug the square end of the USB to the bottom of your microphone until you hear a click sound. Plug the other end of the USB cable in to your computer.

• Has anyone used this with a Chromebook?
  It is a simple plug and play microphone and uses standard USB port for connection. If your Chromebook has a USB port, this will work completely fine.

• Is this good for recording vocals w/ acoustic guitar or will it be too quiet?
  Yes, it is really good for recording vocals with acoustic guitar as it provides clear sound even from a distance.

• Can you plug in headphones ?
  You can’t plug in any headphones as it doesn’t have any audio jack.

• Can I connect the microphone to a phantom power supply?
  No, as it is powered by a USB cable.

• Does the USB cable run in the arm or is it on the outside?
  The USB cable doesn’t run in the arm and is present on the outside.

• Whenever I try to record, the playback sounds very sped up. like a “chipmunk” voice. What do I do?
  This is due to your computer settings. Go to the sound settings and then to the playback devices and change it.

  No, it works only on PCs and won’t work with PS4.
