seconds again.
Direct drive function If the battery is completely flat, you can continue
using the device immediately via mains operation.
Tips for shaving/trimming**
- Clean your face before shaving to remove any dirt or grease from the skin. This will reduce skin irritation and make the shave feel more pleasant.
- Apply light pressure to keep skin irritation to a minimum.
- Shave the most awkward areas first, such as under the nose and along the jawline. This is because the shaving foil is still cool at the start of the shave. If you need to shave over these awkward areas multiple times towards the end of your shave, the shaving foil may have warmed up and this can feel unpleasant.
- Try to stretch the skin being shaved using your fingers.
- The shorter the beard hair is, the more effectively the foil shaver will shave.
- If you switch from wet to dry shaving (or vice versa), it may take up to 3 weeks for your skin to get used to the new method.
Shaving
Before you start shaving, make sure that the foil shaver is charged (see
Section “7. Initial use”).
- Ensure that the triple-blade shaving system is properly attached.
- Remove the protective cap/three-day stubble attachment if it is still attached.
- Press the ON/OFF switch to switch on the foil shaver. The charging status indicator and battery indicator begin to light up. The battery indicator shows you the remaining battery life in percent.
- Apply light pressure as you move the shaving foil across the areas of the face to be shaved.
- When you have shaved all the required areas of your face, switch the foil shaver off. Press the ON/OFF switch to switch off the foil shaver.
- Clean the shaving foil after every shave using the cleaning brush provided. For thorough cleaning, read section “9. Cleaning and maintenance”.
Protective cap/three-day stubble attachment
NOTE
Depending on the growth rate of the beard and the shave, three-day stubble can
look very different.
To give the appearance of three-day stubble, regularly dry shave with the
protective cap/three-day stubble attachment attached. The protective cap
/three-day stubble attachment serves as a three-day stubble attachment in this
scenario.
Detail trimmer
The foil shaver has an integrated detail trimmer to help you shave or trim
neat contours. To use it, proceed as follows:
- Slide the detail trimmer completely upwards as shown.
- Press the ON/OFF switch to switch on the foil shaver.
- Start to shave or trim neat contours using the detail trimmer.
- When you have finished shaving or trimming your contours, switch the foil shaver off. Press the ON/OFF switch to switch off the foil shaver.
- Clean the detail trimmer after every shave using the cleaning brush provided.
