Straightening/styling hair
-
Dry your hair thoroughly before using the hair straightener. Position yourself on a dry, non-conductive surface. Make sure that your hands are dry!
-
Hair should be clean and free from styling products. The exception to this is special products designed to help straighten hair.
-
Comb your hair with a large-toothed comb to get rid of any tangles.
-
Unlock the hair straightener at the lock mechanism 6 by pushing the switch to the position.
-
To switch on the hair straightener, press and hold the ON/OFF switch 4 for three seconds.
-
The heat-up phase is shown through three alternating flashing bars in the LED display 2 . When the three bars are permanently illuminated, the temperature shown in the LED display 2 has been reached and the hair straightener is ready for use.
-
The temperature can be increased by pushing button 3 . The temperature can be decreased by pushing button 5 .
We recommend the following temperature settings:- 120 °C to 140 °C: Fine, brittle, dyed, bleached hair
- 160 °C to 180 °C: Normal hair
- 200 °C to 220 °C Thick and resistant hair
-
The temperature can be fixed by pressing the 5 button for 3 seconds. The button lock 11 appears in the LED display 2 . To cancel the button lock 11, press the 5 button for 3 seconds. The button lock 11 goes out in the LED display 2.
-
Part the hair into individual sections that are approximately 3 to 4 cm wide. Hold a section taut and place it between the hot plates 1 at the roots.
-
Slowly move the hair straightener from the roots to the tips in a fluid motion. Do not hold the hair straightener in one place for more than two seconds. This will achieve the best results without subjecting your hair to excess stress or damage.
-
You can style the ends of your hair by turning the hair straightener inwards or outwards before running it over the tips of the hair.
Note:
The hair straighteners feature a safety switch-off function. After approx. 25
minutes, the three bars in the LED display 2 start to flash simultaneously to
remind you about the automatic switchoff. If you want to use the hair
straighteners for longer than 30 minutes, switch the device off and then
immediately on again. The safety switch-off function is then reset to activate
again in 30 minutes.
After use
The hair straightener can only be switched off when the button lock 11 is deactivated.
- To switch off the hair straightener, press and hold the ON/OFF switch 4 for three seconds. “OFF” appears in the LED display 2 of the hair straightener.
- Place the hair straightener on a non-flammable surface.
- After each use, pull the mains plug out of the socket.
- Allow the device to cool down.
- Do not wind the mains cable 7 around the device!
- Store the device in a dry place out of the reach of children.
