IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

INSTRUCTIONS PERTAINING TO A RISK OF FIRE, ELECTRIC SHOCK, OR INJURY TO PERSONS
WARNING: When using electric appliances, basic precautions should always be followed, including the following:

  1. To disconnect, remove from outlet.
  2. To reduce the risk of electrical shock, do not put the appliance in water or other liquid.
    CAUTION: To reduce the risk of injury, unplug before servicing or cleaning.

Please read these instructions before using the DynaTrap® Flylight Insect Trap and keep for future reference.

  1. Always unplug before servicing, cleaning, or changing the bulb.
  2. Do not position the unit near heat, gas, oil or other flammable materials.
  3. Mount product out of reach from children.
  4. Never operate this product if it has a damaged plug, if it is not working properly, if it has been dropped or damaged, or if it has been dropped into water.
  5. Do not insert fingers or any foreign objects into the unit while it is connected to an electrical outlet.
  6. Collected insects within the unit may contribute to fire, replace StickyTech™ Glue Card as needed.
  7. To reduce the risk of electrical shock, do not clean this product with water spray, do not put this product in water or other liquid. Do not place or store appliances where it can fall or be pulled into a tub or sink.
  8. Only use attachments recommended or sold by the manufacturer.
  9. Do not use outdoors.

INSTALLATION & OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Unpack unit and remove the adhesive liner from Sticky Tech™ Glue Card.
  2. Plug into an indoor outlet.
  3. For best catch results leave unit on at all times, except when cleaning or servicing.
  4. Catch rate activity will be higher at night. For best catch results it is recommended to keep the unit away from competing light sources. Intended for household indoor use only.
  5. Do not change the plugin any way.
  6. This appliance is provided with double insulation and has no serviceable parts. See additional information for Double Insulated Appliances in the Installation Instruction.
  7. In a double-insulated appliance, two systems of insulation are provided instead of grounding. No grounding means is provided on a double-insulated appliance, nor should a means for grounding be added to the appliance. A double-insulated appliance is marked with the words “DOUBLE INSULATION”,
    “DOUBLE-INSULATED” or the symbol:

FCC COMPLIANCE

This device complies with part 18 of the FCC rules. This product may cause interference to radio equipment and should not be installed near maritime safety communications equipment or other critical navigation or communication equipment operating between 0.45-30 MHz. This equipment generates, uses, and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation. If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or more of the following measures:

  1. Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna.
  2. Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver.
  3. Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is connected.
  4. Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help.

CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS

Check trap once per week to prolong the life of the unit, insure fire prevention, and provide efficient operation.

  1. Unplug the device before cleaning or replacing Sticky Tech™ Glue Card.
  2. Replace Sticky Tech™ Glue Card if full.

REPLACING BULB

Replace With DynaTrap® Bulb #21050 (UV – PL-S 2P 9W Bulb) The lightbulb’s life expectancy is approximately 3,000 hours (or about 4 months), and should be replaced regularly to ensure optimal UV-effectiveness. Even though the bulb’s light may be visible to you, it’s ability to attract insects diminishes over time.

  1. UNPLUG UNIT, and allow the bulb to cool before replacing.
  2. Cover the bulb with a cloth to protect your fingers and hand. Grasp the bulb (with your hand and fingers protected by the cloth) and gently pull the bulb from the socket.
  3. Remove any debris from the lamp socket before inserting the new bulb.
  4. Replacement fluorescent bulbs can be found at your local retailer or can be ordered directly from DynaTrap by calling 1-877-403-TRAP (8727) or visiting www.DynaTrap.com.

Flying insects are attracted to the unit by UV light. The StickyTech™ Glue Card traps them until they dehydrate and die. Discard and replace StickyTech™ Glue Cards as needed.

TROUBLESHOOTING

| 1.   Check plug, receptacle, and fuse or circuit breaker.

2.   Check socket for proper bulb seating and alignment.

3.   Replace bulb if needed following instructions under “Replacing Bulb.”

LIMITED WARRANTY

DYNAMIC guarantees to the original purchaser that this product is free from defective materials and workmanship. This warranty is limited to remedy any defective part for a period of one year from date of original date of purchase. Retain your original receipt as proof of purchase. This warranty does not apply to the lightbulb, nor to, in our judgment, misuse or abuse. If this unit has been altered, no warranty is in force. This warranty does not apply if this unit is purchased outside the United States, Canada and Mexico. In no case shall DYNAMIC be liable for any accidental, punitive, consequential, or any other damages of any kind for breach of this or any other warranty, expressed or implied, whatsoever. Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights that vary from state to state.

FLYLIGHT INSECT TRAP

  1. Remove cover to expose adhesive
  2. Insert StickyTech™ Glue Card into trap.
  3. Plug Flylight Insect Trap into a standard 120V outlet.
  4. Unplug Flylight Insect Trap before replacing StickyTech™ Glue Card. Remove and discard used StickyTech™ Glue Card every 30 days, or when fully covered

CAUTION

There may be insects still alive when replacing the glue card. People allergic to wasp stings or other insect stings should allow others to clean and maintain the DynaTrap®. Wasp and other flying insect stings can be fatal. Buyer assumes all risks.
