U2-NOW Wired to Wireless CarPlay Adaptor
User Manual
READ ME FIRST
This product is designed for the car equipped with OEM Apple CarPlay function.
Please refer to the next page for how to check a car is Apple CarPlay or not.
However, NOT every car with built-in CarPlay could fit this adapter. If there
is any issue while using the adapter, please report the issue online and email
us (refer to page 11).
iPhone requirement: iPhone running iOS 10 or newer
How to check a car has CarPlay or not

Plug an iPhone (running iOS 10 or newer) into the car USB ports with a genuine factory lightning cable. If there is a notification pop up on iPhone like below, that your car has built-in Apple CarPlay.

If there is a CarPlay icon in the car stereo menu, your car has built-in Apple CarPlay.

Please use a dual Type-C cable if your car equips with a Type-C port for a CarPlay connection.
How to connect wireless CarPlay
Connection method I
- Turn on your iPhone’s WiFi and Bluetooth, then connect to the Bluetooth name list on the car screen
- Tap “Use CarPlay” on the iPhone pop-up notifications
- It will connect to wireless CarPlay after a few seconds.
Connection method II
- Turn on your iPhone’s WiFi / Bluetooth and stay on the BT menu (allow new connections)
- Select “Find iPhone” on the car screen
- Select your iPhone from the list after searching finished
- Tap “Pair-Allow-Use CarPlay” on the iPhone pop-up notifications
- It will connect to wireless CarPlay after a few seconds

How to clear connection history

How to remove history from iPhone
Go to iPhone Settings> General> CarPlay, tap your car, and then tap Forget This Car. -
Auto-connect
Auto-connect ON means every time the adapter start, it will connect to the last iPhone to use wireless CarPlay automatically.
OFF means you need to connect to CarPlay by tapping the iPhone from the pair list manually. -
Save log
Please keep it ON by default.
Firmware update
Generally, we DO NOT recommend firmware updates when all functions work normally.
How to update
- If your iPhone is connecting to the wireless CarPlay, enter 192.168.50.2 on iPhone’s browser, next tap “Check for updates”
- If your iPhone could not connect to the wireless CarPlay, please join the adapter’s WiFi network (similar to the Bluetooth name) manual and the password is 12345678
- Next enter 192.168.50.2 on iPhone’s browser, and tap “Check for updates”.
Report an issue
Any issue while using the adapter, you could directly report the issue online and email us the feedback screenshot. We will fix it as soon as possible.
- If your iPhone is connecting to the wireless CarPlay, enter 168.50.2 on iPhone’s browser
- If your iPhone could not connect to the wireless CarPlay, please join the adapter’s WiFi network (similar to the Bluetooth name) manual and the password is 12345678. Next enter 168.50.2 on the iPhone browser
- Tap the “Settings” icon near the button “Check for updates”
- Tap “Feedback”, next enter your car make, model, year, and issue details
- Take a screenshot then tap “Submit”
- Email us the screenshot, and we will follow up.
NOTE! Please plug out and re-plug in the adapter from the USB port if submit failed, then try again from the first step.
