Product Information

The Wireless Android Auto Adapter A2AIR Pro is designed for Android smartphones to use Android Auto wirelessly on factory car multimedia systems that have built-in wired Android Auto function. It converts OEM-wired Android Auto to wireless, allowing compatibility with cars that have OEM Android Auto. The adapter enables control through the OEM touch screen, steering wheel, and joystick. It requires USB 5V~1A power and offers connectivity through Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.

The smart button has multiple functions:

  • Click once while working: disconnect the currently connected phone.
  • Press and hold for 3 seconds, then release: switch to update mode.
  • Press and hold for more than 15 seconds: factory reset, erasing all connection history.

Connection Diagram

Connect the adapter to the car’s Android Auto-enabled USB port using the provided Type-C adapter. If there are multiple USB ports in your car, ensure the adapter is plugged into the Android Auto-enabled USB port.

Setting up Wireless Android Auto

  1. Install Android Auto on your smartphone.
  2. In the Android Auto app settings, enable [Wireless Android Auto].
  3. Pair your smartphone with the adapter’s Bluetooth: [OTTO-xxxx].
  4. Pair your smartphone with the vehicle’s Bluetooth.
  5. Plug the adapter into your vehicle’s Android Auto-enabled USB port.

Interface and connector

  • Click once while working: disconnect the current connected phone.
  • Press and hold for 3s then release: switch to update mode
  • Press and hold for more than 15s: factory reset, all connection history will be erased.

NOTE! The adapter should be plugged into the Android Auto-enabled USB port if there are multiple USB ports in your car

Setting up wireless Android Auto

  1. Install Android Auto on your smartphone, next enable [Wireless Android Auto] in the Android Auto app settings
  2. Pair your smartphone with the vehicle’s Bluetooth.
  3. Plug the adapter into your vehicle’s Android Auto-enabled USB port.
  4. Continue to pair your smartphone with the adapter’s Bluetooth: [OTTO-xxxx].
    It will then connect to Android Auto wirelessly after a few seconds.

Firmware update

Firmware update is NOT recommended when every function works well.

  1. If you have connected to Android Auto wirelessly, disable Bluetooth and forget the Wi-Fi network first.
  2. While powered on, press the button and hold for 3s then release. The LED indicator will switch to a green light after 1-2 seconds.
  3. On your phone, go to Wi-Fi >> Advanced settings >> Wi-Fi direct, tap [OTTO-xxxx], and make sure it has connected
  4. Enter 192.168.1.101 on the smartphone browser, and next tap “Update”

NOTE! The blue and red LED indicators will flash alternatives while updating. Wait for more 30s after the white indicator is solid, then disconnect and reconnect the adapter from the USB port to finish the whole update.

How to report an issue
For any issue, while using the adapter, you could directly report the issue online and send the feedback screenshot to email [email protected]. We will fix it as soon as possible.

Follow the 1-3 steps of [Firmware update] on the previous page, then enter 192.168.1.101 again on the browser to submit the issue.
