this product will, if used according to these instructions, and properly
maintained, give you years of trouble-free performance.

SAFETY
Warning! ensure health & safety, local authority, and general workshop
practice regulations are adhered to when using this equipment.
Familiarise yourself with application and limitations, as well as the specific
potential hazards peculiar to the riveter.
Replace or repair damaged parts. Use genuine parts only. Nonauthorized parts
may be dangerous and will invalidate the warranty.
Keep the riveter clean for the best and safest performance.
Locate the riveter in an adequate working area for its function, keep the area
clean & tidy, and free from unrelated materials and ensure there is adequate
lighting.
Keep children and unauthorized persons away from the working area.
Remove ill-fitting clothing. Remove ties, watches, rings, and other loose
jewelry, and contain and/ or tie back long hair.
Warning! Always wear approved eye or face protection when operating the
riveter.
Keep fingers, hands, and body clear of all working parts, and do not place any
items within the riveter lattice.
Familiarise yourself with the push action to ensure you do not accidentally
wrench your wrist when pushing sharply.
Maintain correct balance and footing. Ensure the floor is not slippery and
wear nonslip shoes.
Secure a nonstable workpiece with a clamp, vice, or another adequate holding
device.
Ensure that all used rivet ends are disposed of in a safe manner.
Do not get the riveter wet or used it in wet locations.
Do not use the riveter for any purpose other than for which it is
designed.
Do not operate the riveter when you are tired, under the influence of
alcohol, drugs, or intoxicating medication.
Do not allow untrained persons to operate the riveter.
Do not operate the riveter if any parts are damaged or missing as this
may cause failure or possible personal injury.
INTRODUCTION
Precision-made, high-grade alloy steel jaws with a strong aluminum body. Forged alloy steel pins and bolts with double handle bearings for long life and durability. Suitable for blind aluminum, steel, and stainless steel rivets. Includes Chrome Molybdenum special profile nozzles for structural rivets up to 6.4mm(1/4”).

OPERATION
The AK395 is suitable for aluminum, steel, and stainless steel rivets. The tool includes Chrome Molybdenum nozzles for structural rivets.
4.1. nozzles
4.1.1. Select the appropriate nozzle. Differing sizes are located at points
(A) (fig 1).
4.1.2. To remove the nozzle at the head (B) use the wrench supplied. ensure
the replacement nozzle is completely screwed in a lightly tighten with a
wrench.
4.2. to operate.
4.2.1. Hold the head (C) and pull the handle so that the lattice (D) is
completely extended.
‰ WARNING! Ensure your fingers are clear of moving parts. Insert rivet
shaft all the way into the nozzle (B).
4.2.2. Insert rivet head completely into the prepared workpiece hole.
4.2.3. Hold the riveter firmly and push on the handle to completely close the
lattice which will fix the rivet in place and cut the shaft. Should riveting
not be achieved on the first try then re-extend the lattice and push once
more.
4.2.4. Once completed, pull the handle to extend the lattice again to eject
the shaft end from the nozzle. Safely discard shaft ends.
Maintenance
5.1. Keep the riveter clean.
5.2. Use light machine oil to occasionally lubricate the lattice pivot pins.
5.3. To clean and change the riveter jaws, loosen and remove the outer collar
(E). Loosen and remove the inner sleeve. Take care as the internal jaws are
spring load. Clean or replace the jaws and re-assemble accordingly.
5.4. When not in use, store the riveter in a safe, dry, childproof location.

ENVIRONMENT PROTECTION
Recycle unwanted materials instead of disposing of them as waste. All tools,
accessories, and packaging should be sorted, taken to a recycling center, and
disposed of in a manner that is compatible with the environment. When the
product becomes completely unserviceable and requires disposal, drain any
fluids (if applicable) into approved containers and dispose of the product and
fluids according to local regulations.
