Safety and Warnings

Intended Use

NETTA Design is for domestic and indoor use only. This product is not intended for use by people who have lack of experience and knowledge or have reduced ability, or sensory and mental capabilities.

Regular Check-Ups

Ensure the power cable and plug are not damaged before plugging into a socket.

Before connecting the kettle to the power supply, check that the voltage indicated on the appliance (underside the kettle & base) corresponds with the voltage in your home. If this is not the case, do not use the kettle and contact the supplier.
Do not let the cord hang over the edge of tables or counters or touch hot surfaces.
Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner or in a heated oven.
Do not operate without water, otherwise the heating element will be damaged.
Ensure that the kettle is used on a firm and flat surface where children cannot touch it.
To protect against fire, electric shock, or personal injury, do not immerse the cord, plugs or kettle in water or any other liquid.
While water is boiling or just finished boiling, avoid contacting the steam from the spout.
Be careful when opening the lid for refilling when the kettle is hot.
Always take care to pour boiling water slowly and carefully without tipping the kettle too quickly.
Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
Do not touch the hot surface. Use the handle and buttons only
The kettle is for household use only. Do not use outdoors
Do not use accessory attachments that are not recommended by the manufacturer as this may result in fire, shock, or injury.
Unplug from the outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts and before cleaning the kettle.
Always ensure the lid is closed and do not lift it while the water is boiling.

Do not use the kettle for anything other than its intended use.
The kettle can only be used with the stand provided.
If the kettle is overfilled, boiling water may be ejected
Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance

Operating the Product

Before First Use
If you are using the kettle for the first time, it is recommended that you clean your kettle by boiling a full kettle of water twice and then discarding the water.

The maximum capacity for this kettle is 0.5L.

Using The Kettle

To fill the kettle, open the lid by pressing the lid release button. Fill the kettle with your desired amount of water and then close the lid. The water level should not exceed the MAX mark or sit below the MIN level. Too little water will result in the kettle switching off before the water has boiled.
Connect the plug into a power outlet. Press the switch down and the indicator light will come on.
The kettle will automatically stop once the water has boiled. You can shut off the power by lifting the switch at any time.
Lift the kettle and pour the water. The water will not re-boil until the switch is pressed again. Allow 15-20 seconds for the kettle to cool before re-opening the lid to re-fill.
Turn off the power supply when the kettle is not in use.

Boil-Dry Protection

Should you accidently let the kettle operate without water, the boil-dry protection system will automatically switch the power off. If this occurs, allow the kettle to cool before filling with cold water to re-boil.

Cleaning, Maintenance and Storage

Always disconnect the appliance from the power outlet before cleaning.
Never immerse the kettle, power cord or power base in water.
Wipe the body of the kettle with a damp cloth. Never use a toxic cleaner.
Do not use chemical, steel, wooden or abrasive cleaners to clean the outside of the kettle.
When the kettle is not in use, you should store the power cord by wrapping it around the cable holder on the base.
Limescale may form in the bottom of the kettle due to mineral deposits in tap water. You can use commercially available descaler and follow the instructions on its packaging. Alternatively, you may do the following:
Fill the kettle with 3 cups of white vinegar, then add enough water to cover the bottom of the kettle completely. Leave the solution in the kettle overnight. The next day, discard the mixture in the kettle, re-fill it with clean water, boil it and discard it. Repeat this until the odour of vinegar has been flushed away. Any stains remaining inside the spout can be removed by rubbing with a damp cloth.

Please dispose of this product responsibly. This item cannot be disposed of with general waste. Please contact your local council authority for more information on how to dispose this product. If this product is disposed of with general waste, it will end up in a landfill and will leak hazardous substances into the groundwater effecting our food chain.
