Maintenance activities
Clean the scooter with a damp, soft cloth every time when you have finished
using it. Never use abrasive or solvent-based cleaning solutions to clean the
product. Store the product preferably in a dry and dust-free space.
Wheels
- The wheels wear down with time and can be damaged if used frequently on rough surfaces. The rear wheel on which the brake is applied is particularly affected after several hours of braking. In the interest of safety, both wheels should be checked regularly and changed if necessary.
- The wheels might not rotate smoothly anymore when the bearings are affected by sand, water or filthiness. Clean the bearings or replace them if necessary.
- To change the wheels, remove the axle bolts with two allen keys and slide the wheels off its fork. Place the new wheels and use new bolts to tighten everything back in place. For the rear wheel, make sure the two spacer rings are still positioned correctly. Only 100mm or 110mm wheels can be used on the scooter.
- Axles regularly need to be checked as vibration from use can loosen them.
Handlebar
- If the handlebar is not fixed tightly, use an allen key to tighten the bolts inside the clamp properly. Use firm pressure but avoid overtightening.
- To change the grips, the handlebar end caps need to be removed with force. Use hot water and/or soap to replace the grips. Insert new handlebar end caps inside the handlebar and push the handlebar against a hard surface to tighten the handlebar end cap.
- When the handlebar feels wobbly/loose it is necessary to tighten the IHC compression system with an allen key. Remove the handlebar in order to do so. After tightening, the fork should still be able to spin freely, however if over tightened, movement can be restricted and the compression or headset can be damaged.
