Troubleshooting

Overview

This chapter covers some common problems that users may encounter while using the Camera. A few Troubleshooting solutions are also provided. For further advice, please contact your dealer.

Problems
Problem The camera is offline.
Solution
  1. Unplug the camera, remove and reinsert the battery, and check the camera LED status.
  2. After the camera has turned on – check the LED status. Please check section 2 for more details. If the camera is still offline, contact your dealer for further advice.

Problem| The image is blurry.
Solution| Try cleaning the lens. Condensation can reduce picture quality when using the camera outdoors or in a wet indoor area. If your camera’s picture quality is affected by condensation, the best solution is to purchase a camera cover with a built-in peak.
Problem| When using the motion detection feature, I receive Emails which don’t show any moving objects.
Solution| The motion detection feature doesn’t actually detect motion. It compares camera frames to determine if they are different. Major differences between frames are assumed to be caused by moving objects.

But the motion detector can also be triggered by:

  • Sudden changes in environmental light levels.
  • Environmental factors moving the camera.

The motion detection feature works best in locations where there is good and steady illumination, and the camera is mounted securely.
