Introduction

Strict supervision should be given to persons using/maintaining/cleaning anyone who is not versed and familiar with appliances and their possible safety risks or children or persons with reduced physical, mental or sensory capabilities. The appliance and its various appendages should be kept out of reach of children so as not to be played with. Children under the age of three should be kept away from appliances altogether, while children between the ages of 3 and 8, under strict supervision and providing the appliance has been correctly set up and installed, can switch appliances ON/OFF. However, children in this age bracket should not be allowed to plug-in appliances, clean appliances, or do maintenance on appliances.

Safety Instructions

When using any electrically powered product, basic safety precautions should always be followed, this includes:

  • Please check the product identification plate to confirm that the voltage, frequency, and rating of the appliances match that of the power source.
  • Remove the unit from its packaging and check to make sure it is in good condition before using it.
  • Do not let children play with parts of the packing (such as plastic bags).
  • Close supervision is necessary when the product is used by or near children or anyone with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities. Do not allow children to use it as a toy.
  • Do not operate any product with a damaged cord or plug or after the product malfunc­tions, has been dropped or appears damaged in any way. Return the complete product to the place of purchase for inspection, repair or replacement.
  • Never touch the plug, cord or appliance with wet hands to avoid electric shock.
  • Ensure the cord is fully extended before use and arrange it so that it is not exposed to high temperatures.
  • While in use, various parts of the heater get hot. Therefore, when moving heater, carry by handle to avoid burns.
  • Do not use the heater near combustible material such as in garages where petrol, paint or other flammable substances are used or stored.
  • Never face a heater directly towards and too close to furniture, animals, curtains, bedding and other things that could catch light. It is good practice to leave a space of a minimum of 1 meter around all sides of the heater.
  • Arrange the cord so as to avoid becoming a tripping hazard. Therefore, do not place the cord under carpets or cover with throw rugs or furniture.
  • Make sure that the openings of the heater are never blocked. Therefore, do not place on bedding, thick/piled up carpets.
  • To reduce the risk of electric shock or fire, do not expose immerse product in water or any form of liquid.
  • This product should not be used in the immediate vicinity of bodies of water such as, bathtubs, washbowls, showers, rain, swimming pools etc. where the likelihood of immersion or splashing could occur.
  • Switch off and unplug from power source when not in use, before assembling or disassem­bling parts and before cleaning. Remove by grasping the plug and not yanking on the cord.
  • A common cause of overheating is deposits of dust and fluff entering the heater. Ensure these deposits are removed regularly by unplugging the heater, allowing it to cool down and cleaning as described in the “Care, Cleaning and Storage” section.
  • Beware not to cause overload due to other high-power-consuming appliances connected to the same circuit at once.
  • Avoid the use of an extension cord as the extension cord may overheat and risk causing a fire.
  • Do not use the appliance for anything other than its intended use.
  • It is explicitly for indoor use. Refrain from using outdoors.
  • Do not leave the appliance unattended when switched on.
  • Do not place objects on the product, allow objects to obstruct the inlet or outlet openings or operate in close proximity to walls or curtains, etc. Do not cover the unit when in operation.
  • Do not locate the heater immediately below a wall socket.
  • The use of attachments or accessories not recommended or sold by the product distributor may cause personal damage or damage to property.
  • This product is intended for normal domestic-household use only.

Use this heater as described in this manual. Any other uses, not recommended by the manufacturer, may cause fire, electric shock or injury to persons and may void the warranty.

Using the Heater

  1. Before inserting the plug into an electrical outlet, make sure that the electrical supply in your area matches that on the rating label of the unit.
  2. When plugged in, turn on the main power switch I fil I at the back of the unit.
  3. When in Standby Mode, briefly press © on the control panel to reactivate.
  4. The LED display will show the room temperature. Press© again to access the rest of the control panel.
  • Low Power: 850W (Press to switch it, when in this mode, one light will show).
  • High Power: 1500W (Press to switch it, when in this mode, two lights will show).
  • TIMER: Press this button 0 repeatedly to set a period after which the heater will turn itself off (From 0-8 hours).
  • Temperature setting from 50-120°F. Press “8” to increase the desired tempera­ture and “ffi” to decrease the desired temperature. When the room temperature is lower than 39°F than the temperature of the heater, it requires the heater to work in high power mode at a higher temperature, by decreasing the heater temperature by 36°F, it will enter a lower power working mode. If the room reaches the tempera­ture set on the heater, the heating will stop. The fan will remain on until the room temperature drops 36°F lower than the heater setting temperature. The heater will automatically return to lower power heating until the room temperature drops below 39°F.

NOTE: The heater will cycle between FAN MODE and LOW HEAT MODE in order to maintain the set temperature

  • Swing Mode: Press (9} to activate Swing Mode. Press it again to cancel.
  • Press to turn off the heater the unit will keep working for 30 seconds to supply cool air to the unit. This mechanism increases the durability of appliances.

WARNING

  • Before removing the plug from the socket, switch the appliance off and let sit for 30- 60 seconds to cool down the inner parts.
  • The remote control requires a lithium battery, battery model No. CR2025.

Overheating Mechanism

This heater is protected with an overheating protection mechanism that switches off the appliance automatically in case of overheating. For example, due to the total or partial obstruction of the grids. In this case, unplug the appliance, wait about 30 minutes for it to cool, and remove the object which is obstructing the grids. Then switch it back on as instructed above. The appliance should operate normally. Should the problem persist, please contact the nearest customer service?

NOTE: For purposes of maintaining the internal components, after pressing the OFF button the fan will continue to blow room air for a period of 30-60 seconds before shutting down to standby.

Safety Systems

  • In the event of abnormal overheating, a safety mechanism shuts down the appliance automatically. After a short cooling down phase, the appliance is ready for use again.
  • If you still notice the same defect as mentioned above, remove the plug from the socket and consult your nearest authorized dealer/service department.
  • During use, do not touch or cover the air outlet. This may cause the unit to overheat, and the safety mechanism to kick in.
  • The unit is also fitted with a tip-over switch. Therefore, if you operate it on uneven a surface this switch may cause it to cut out.

Maintenance

  • Your appliance must be switched OFF via the main power supply and unplugged before proceeding with any cleaning work.
  • Clean the housing with a lightly damp cloth, a vacuum cleaner, or a dusting brush.
  • Never use flammable or abrasive cleaning agents such as Benzene or spirits to clean the appliance.
  • Never immerse the appliance in the water
  • Clean the air inlet and outlet regularly with a vacuum cleaner.
  • If the appliance is not used for an extended period of time, it must be protected against excessive dust and dirt. Please dismount the heater and store it in a dry place away from sunlight and dirt.

When the time comes to dispose of this product, please consider the environmental impact and take it to a recognized recycling facility instead of disposing of it with general household waste. Take the equipment to a waste disposal site. Plastic and metal parts that are used in the construction of this appliance can be separated into a pure grade (which can be recycled) and non-recyclable material. Ask your service center for additional details. Do your part to protect the environment.
