Safety Precautions
- To use the product correctly and safely, be sure to read the Safety Precautions before use. The Safety Precautions include critical information for safety. Be sure to heed them.
- The following symbols indicate the degree of risk or damage that may result if the information given after each symbol is ignored and the product is used improperly.
if the product is used improperly and any of the following DANGER, WARN- ING, or CAUTION information is ignored, there is potential for fire, heat generation, damage, or leakage that may cause burns, or injury, or loss of sight.
DANGER
- Do not put the product in a fire or heat it in an oven.
- Do not expose the product to high temperatures or leave it in a place where it is subject to direct sunlight.
- Do not place the product within reach of infants and children.
- Do not open or modify the product.
- Do not apply an impact to the product by dropping it, throwing it, etc.
- Do not look directly at the LED light source when it is illuminated.
- Disconnect the product immediately if you notice smoke or smell something burning.
WARNING
Do not place the product in an area exposed to direct sunlight; otherwise, the
product’s glass shade could focus on the sun’s rays and cause a fire.
- Do not short-circuit the recharging terminal of the main body or changer stand with a metal pin or other metallic object.
- Do not cover the product with cloth, paper, or any other easily flammable material.
- Keep water and other liquids away from the AC adapter and charger stand and do not use them while they are wet. Also do not plug or unplug the AC adapter and other connectors with a wet hand.
- Do not use the USB cable it t is damaged.
- Do not swing or throw the main body.
- It the glass shade breaks, do not touch any of the broken pieces with bare hands.
- Do not touch the pivot of the lens (as shown on the right).
- When using the optional AMB-AC02 USB AC adapter, use it at the rated voltage (100 to 240 V AC).
- Inspect the AC adapter, household power outlet, and the recharging terminals periodically to ensure that they are free of accumulated dust.
- Insert the plug of the AC adapter into the power outlet all the way.
- When carrying the main body of the lamp, remove the glass shade and hold the lamp by the column handle while supporting the base with t palm of your hand (as shown on the right).
Package Contents and Nomenclature
Thanks to the widespread use of computers and mobile phones, most people today already possess a USB-compatible AC adapter. To minimize waste, an AC adapter is not provided with this product. In addition to the optional AMB-AC02 USB AC adapter, you can also use a USB AC adapter compatible with an output of 5 V DC, 1A, or more.
Before Using the Product
- Our master craftsmen carefully finish every glass shade we make for this product by hand. Consequently, no two shades are exactly alike and the glass may also feature bubbles and distortions depending on the product. However, we ship only those shades that meet our quality standards.
- Since the glass shade is made of delicate glass, it needs extra care to handle. When charging this product, be sure to remove the glass shade before placing the main body on the charger stand. Similarly, make sure that the glass shade is removed before removing the main body from the charger stand.
Adjusting and setting the pendulum lens
The pendulum lens operates correctly and swings in a stable fashion only when
it is set perpendicularly to the main body base. If the lens tilts, adjust it
so that its axis is parallel to the arms.
Set the pendulum lens over the main body
While holding the tip of the lens, place the pivot of the lens in the
indentation in the column.
Connecting the charger stand and charging the main body
- Connect the smaller connector (Type-C side) on the USB cable to the USB connection terminal on the charger stand (O). Note: A commercially available USB Type-C cable may also be used, but may not always function correctly depending on its configuration.
- Connect the larger connector (USB side) on the USB cable to the AC adapter (2) and plug the AC adapter into the wall outlet. Note: When an AC adapter with an output of less than 5 V DC, 1A is used, charging may take longer or may not even be possible, Aways use a reliable, manufacturer-warrantied AC adapter with an output of 5 V DC, 1 A or more if possible, Any damage or malfunctions that may result when an unreliable AC adapter is used, and that are not caused by this product, may void our warranty.
- Place the main body on the charger stand. Charging starts and the charge status indicator lamp lights steadily (@). During charging, you can press the dimming touch sensor to turn the light on and off or switch its intensity. (If the light is on, it automatically goes out when the main body is placed on the charger stand.)
- When charging is complete, the charge status indicator lamp goes out. The light automatically illuminates at LOW intensity when the main body is removed from the charger stand.
Operation
Activating the dimming touch sensor
The dimming touch sensor is deactivated when the product is shipped from the
factory. Press the ON/OFF dimmer button on the bottom of the product’s main
body. The light will illuminate at LOW intensity and the n dimming touch
sensor will be operable.
How to deactivate the dimming touch sensor
When the product is to be stored or transported, deactivate the dimming touch
sensor to prevent malfunction. Press and hold the ON/OFF dimmer button (for 2
seconds). The light wil iluminate once at LOW intensity and then go out. Touch
sensor operation will be disabled.
Operation using the dimming touch sensor
- The dimming touch sensor is located on the side of the main body base. For reliable operation, place the bal of your fingertip on the touch sensor.
- Every time you press the dimming touch sensor, the light is turned on and off and switches its intensity in the order shown below.
Operation using the ON/OFF dimmer button
Every time the ON/OFF dimmer button on the bottom of the main body is pressed,
the light is turned on and off and switches its intensity in the order shown
below. To ensure this proper operation, do not touch the dimming touch sensor
on the side of the main body base.
Dustproof and Waterproof Specifications
- The main body is both dustproof and waterproof (IP66″ equivalent) but should not be used underwater. Do not put it in a bathtub or other water container. Indicates protection from dust and high-pressure water jets from any direction.
- The charger stand is not waterproof. Make sure it doesn’t get wet.
Care and Maintenance
- To keep this product in optimal condition, please follow these maintenance guidelines.
- Turn of the power and disconnect the attached cable before cleaning the product.
- To make it easier to clean the product, remove the glass shade and pendulum lens from the main body.
- Gently wipe the glass shade and metallic parts with a soft, lint-free cloth.
- lf the glass shade is dirty, clean it with a cloth dampened with water or diluted detergent. Wipe off any moisture with a soft, dry lint-free cloth.
- lf the terminal or silicone sheet (black sheet around the terminal) on the bottom is dirty, wipe it twith a moistened, soft, lint-free cloth. When doing this, place a cloth or soft material underneath to protect the glass shade.
- lf dirt or dust gets in the terminal on the charger stand, carefully remove it with a cotton swab or similar soft object. Do not use a metallic tool such as tweezers.
Product Specifications
- The brightness of the LED elements decreases by about 70% after about 40,000 hours of use.
- The color and brightness of each individual LED element’s light varies even when used in a light source with the same product code.
- Varies depending on operating conditions and environments.
- Applies when the battery performance drops below 50%.
- Indicates protection from dust and high-pressure water jets from any direction.
- Please handle it with care as the glass is very delicate.
