1 Introduction
Bluetooth Keyboard is a universal tool, but its use as a device intended for the cooperation with MPI-530, MPI-530-IT, MIC-10k1, MIC-5050 meters, manufactured by Sonel S.A., has been described in this manual.
This manual is a supplement to the information contained in the MPI-530 / MPI-530-IT / MIC10k1 / MIC-5050 meter’s user manual, which should be read carefully.

3 Description
- Transmission standard: Bluetooth V3.0.
- 68 buttons.
- Built-in rechargeable Li-ion battery, charged via mini USB port.
- 4 LEDs to indicate status.
- Built-in intelligent power management for longer working hours between battery charges.
- Operating range: 10 metres
- Charging time: 3-4 hours.
- Operating temperature range: -10°C…+55°C
4 Establishing a connection with the meter
Before first use, please charge the keyboard (internal battery).

1. pairing / connecting
- Turn on the keyboard by sliding the ON/OFF switch to the ON position – after a while, the green LED lights up for 5 seconds.
- Press and hold for a moment the “pairing/connecting” button - the green LED will flash. The keyboard will wait for the connection with the meter up to 10 minutes. Then the LED stops flashing.
- Now the keyboard is in the pairing/connecting mode and it waits for the connection with the meter – the details of how to proceed can be found in the meter’s user manual.
If the battery is discharged, the green LED will blink fast.
5 Charging rechargeable battery
In order to charge the keyboard (internal battery), connect the keyboard to
the USB port using the cord supplied with the keyboard.
Charging is indicated by illumination of the red LED. When the device is fully
charged, the LED goes out.
6 Access to the extended keyboard characters
Not all characters and symbols on the keyboard are supported by the meter. Symbols used in MPI-530 / 530-IT are shown in Fig. 2.

- Access to the features described on the keyboard as F1…F4 is obtained by pressing and holding the Fn key before pressing the target key.
- A dot is obtained by pressing and holding the Fn button and pressing the “ /. ” button, a comma is obtained by pressing and holding the Fn button and pressing the M or K button.
- For capital letters, press and hold the Shift key before pressing the letter button.
- The button is used to switch the keypad backlight on and off - function only active when connected to the meter.
