DEAR CUSTOMER
Thank you very much for purchasing these high-quality Genuine Mazda lockable
wheel nuts. These lockable wheel nuts will provide you with many years of
service under the
condition the following instructions have been followed.
INSTALLATION
- Remove one lug nut from each wheel. If studs are dirty, clean with a wire brush prior to installing locks.
- Install a lockable wheel nut onto each wheel by hand.
- Take the special key supplied with the lockable wheel nut set and place it on top of the lockable wheel nut, turning until the key and wheel lock patterns engage. Place the lug wrench on the key, and while applying pressure on the key tighten the lockable wheel nut to the recommended torque specifications found in the owner’s manual. For best results use a torque wrench for final tightening.
- Place your special key, original lug nuts, and this owner’s manual into the reusable package and close it. Store this package in a secure location inside the vehicle.
REMOVAL
- Use the special key and your lug wrench. Place the key on top of the lockable wheel nut and turn until the key and wheel lock patterns engage. Place the lug wrench on the key, and while applying pressure on the key, loosen the lockable wheel nut.
- To reinstall the lockable wheel nut see the installation procedure above.
NOTE: For ease of installation and removal, the lockable wheel nut should
always be the last nut tightened and the first one loosened.
CAUTION: The use of an impact wrench may cause permanent damage to the
lock and key.
If in doubt about the lock application, ask your dealer for assistance.
If you lose your key, hand this key code to your Mazda dealer, who will order a replacement key.
