This device is intended to prepare coffee using high pressure (“Espresso”) and to be used in indoor households, only.

Do not use the device for purposes other than its intended use.

This device may be only used by children 8 years old or older and persons with limited physical, sensory and mental capabilities and / or lack of experience
and knowledge provided that they have been instructed in the use of the device by a responsible person who understands the associated risks. -
Refer all servicing to qualified personnel. Servicing is required when the appliance has been damaged in any way, such as when the power supply cord or plug is damaged, liquid has been spilled over the appliance or objects have fallen into the appliance, or when it has been exposed to rain or humidity, when it does not operate normally, or has been dropped.

Please, only use accessories recommended by the manufacturer of this device to prevent danger of physical damage, fi re or electrical shock to the device or injury to persons.

Make sure that the water tank of the device is always filled with the amount of water needed for the intended operation to prevent damage to the device.

Stay away from hot steam escaping from the unit. Only use the handles or levers attached to the unit or its components if you want to move hot components of the unit, such as the frother or the coffee fi lter.

Do not immerse the device into water or other liquids to avoid shock damage to the device and harm to you.

Do not touch the plug of the device with wet hands. Water drops from your hands may drip on the plug and cause an electrical shock when in contact with the power socket.

CONTROL PANEL
Button functions instruction
| On/Off switch. Turn the appliance on or off.

| Timer button: Switch-on timer
1) Press this button briefly to start or end the power-on timer.
2) Press and hold this button for a few seconds to enter the automatic power- up mode. Then press the “H” or “M” key to set the automatic power-on time.
| “H” button: Setting the hours. Press the button repeatedly to set the hours.
The number of hours increases each time the button is pressed.
| “M” button: Setting the minutes. Press the button repeatedly to set the
minutes. The number of minutes increases each time the button is pressed.
| A number of cups. In standby mode, press to set the number of cups to 2, 4
or 6.
| The button of grinding, brewing and setting coffee strength. In standby
mode, press this button to select or for coffee strength, or to select for
brewing directly.

| Decalcification: Press to enter decalcification mode. Press again to exit
the decalcification mode.
OPERATION

Connect the unit to the power supply. The time display shows 12:00 00. The clock symbol flashes without counting the time. The default setting is 6 cups (two-bean symbol).

Press the ON/OFF switch to start grinding and brewing. The power indicator light flashes and the machine starts working.

Setting the clock
In standby mode, press the “H” and “M” buttons to display the clock setting screen. Use the “H” button to set the hours of the clock (00-23 ). Each time you press the button, the value increases by one hour. Press and hold the button to increment the hours continuously.
Use the “M” button to set the minutes of the time (00-59 ). Each time the button is pressed, the value increases by one minute. Keep the key pressed to increase the minutes continuously. -
Auto On
Under standby, press the TIMER button to enter the Auto-On setting. The display shows Auto-On time (6:00 as original) and blinks. The clock icon in the display illuminates with blinking. Press “H” or “M” to set Auto-On time. If you do not press the button in 3 seconds, the machine goes back into standby. -
Start Auto-On time
In standby mode, press the TIMER button to start the automatic start time function.
The clock symbol on the display lights up. In this mode, all buttons are unavailable except the timer button. The automatic start time flashes and the machine returns to the current time after 3 seconds. If the automatic switch- on time matches the actual time, the machine runs automatically. The operating indicator flashes and the symbol for the automatic switch-on time go out. -
Brewing settings (without grinding)
In standby mode, press the Grinding and brewing button to select the only brewing function. Press until the brewing symbol appears in the display. To brew, press the ON/OFF button. The machine starts the brewing operation. The operating indicator flashes. -
Grinding and brewing
When the on-bean or tow-bean symbol is lit on the display, the machine is in grinding and brewing mode. You can set the coffee strength with the grinding and brewing button. Press the cup button to set the number of cups.
Press the On/off button to start the process. The machine first grinds the beans and then brews the powder. When the water has completely drained from the tank, the machine switches to warm mode. -
Keep warm mode
When the brewing process is complete (after max. 40 minutes), the appliance goes into keep warm mode. The operating light is on and the appliance indicates this by humming three times. When the warm-keeping mode ends, the machine goes into standby mode. The unit hums three times and the operating lamp goes out. -
Decalcify cation mode After 70 brewing cycles, the appliance reminds you to decalcify by lighting up the CALC display. The machine counts one warm-keeping operation as one brewing cycle. Decalcify the machine with a commercially available decalcifier or a water/vinegar mixture. Fill the water tank with the mixture and run the mixture through the machine once. Then fill the water tank with fresh, clean water up to the MAX mark and allow the water to run through as well.
Press the CALC button on standby. The lamp on the CALC button flashes and the display show the symbol. Press the CALC key to stop the decalcification after 10 minutes. The light of the CALC key goes out. Decalcification is finished.
Abnormal indication: The buzzer beeps twice and the machine will enter the standby mode when the gate above the filter holder is closed or opened abnormally.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Cleaning the milk tank and the milk foam tube
Even though you can store the milk tank with milk residues in the fridge, it
is important to clean the tank and the milk foam tube regularly to avoid
blockages and residues. To clean the milk tank, proceed as follows:
- Remove the milk tank from the appliance
- Remove the cover of the tank.
- Pour out the remaining milk. Thoroughly wash the milk tank and its lid with warm soapy water. Rinse the parts with clear water and dry them well. Do not use abrasive cleaners and scouring sponges, as these will scratch the surface.
- Place a large empty cup under the milk foam tube.
- Press the [CLEAR] button. The machine starts to release steam through the milk foam hose. Let the machine run for a few seconds until you see no more milk in the cup. When you are finished, press the [CLEAN] button again to stop the process.
- Remove any water residue on the milk tank, and then reinsert it into the machine.
