SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

  •  Before use, check the voltage information on the rating plate and only connect the device to sockets that correspond to the nominal voltage of the device.

  • To prevent overheating, do not cover the fi replace.
  • Do not use the appliance with an external timer, a remote controlled socket or any other device that automatically turns the fi replace on and off .
  • Do not immerse the device in water or other liquids.
  •  Do not use the appliance near bathtubs, showers or swimming pools.
  •  Do not use the device outdoors.
  • Do not use the device with wet hands.
  • Do not use the appliance on or near hot surfaces
  • Do not use the device with a damaged power cord.
  •  Before cleaning, unplug the appliance from the wall outlet and allow it to cool completely.
  • Do not use abrasive cleaners for cleaning.
  •  Only use accessories that are expressly approved for this purpose by the manufacturer.
  • Children from the age of 8 years and mentally, sensory and physically impaired persons may only use the device if they have been informed in detail about the functions and safety precautions by a supervisor responsible for them beforehand and understand the associated risks.
  •  Make sure that children do not play with the appliance.

Before first use

Remove the protective film from the battery cover before using the remote control.

OPERATION

Turn the power switch on the right side of the heater to the ‘On’ position. As soon as power is supplied to the unit, a beeping sound will be heard. The power switch supplies power to all functions of the unit. The switch must be in the ‘I’ position in order to use all functions, including the remote control.

| Power on: If you press the ON/OFF button on the remote control once, you will hear a short beep and the unit will enter the operating mode. The power indicator lights up and the heating function and flame effect are switched on.

Power off: When you press the ON / OFF button on the remote control, a beep will be heard and the device will turn off. The LED lighting, the heating function, the flame effect and the power indicator will go out. If the heating function was on, the fan of the unit will continue to run for about 60 seconds after the unit is put into standby mode.

| Set the time until automatic switch-on:

When the unit is in standby mode, press the TIMER button once. ’00’ is initially displayed in the display window. Each time you press the TIMER button, an hour will be added: 00 – 01 – 02 – 03 … – 24

– 00. Select the desired time after which the device should start automatically. As soon as the time you have set has elapsed, the device will switch on and ‘OH’ will be displayed in the display window. The heating function runs at the highest level and the flame effect is set to the brightest mode.

Set the time until automatic switch-on:

When the unit is in operating mode, press the TIMER button once. ’00’ is initially displayed in the display window. Each time you press the TIMER button, an hour will be added: 00 – 01 – 02 – 03 … – 24 –

00. Select the desired time after which the device should shut off automatically. As soon as the time you have set has elapsed, the device will switch off. The fan will then continue to run for 60 seconds to disperse the heat remaining in the unit. In the display window the countdown is counted down: 60 – 59 – 58 … .

| When you press the heating button on the remote control, the heating function will start at a high level. “0H” is displayed in the display window. If you press the heat button again, the appliance will switch to the low heat level. “OL” is displayed on the screen. If you press the heating button again, the heating function will be switched off. The fan will then continue to run for 60 seconds to disperse the heat remaining in the unit.

| In standby mode, the flame effect is disabled by default. When you press the flame button, the charcoal set will be illuminated and will flicker automatically. The flame effect is set to the brightest mode and ’05’ is displayed in the display window.

When you press the flame button again, the flame brightness will be lowered by one level and ’04’ is displayed in the display window.

By pressing the flame button several times, the brightness will be lowered one level at a time in the following sequence: 05 – 04 – 03 – 02

– 01 – Off – 05 … .

The flame effect can be adjusted separately. The display window shows the level 01, 02, 03, 04 or 05.

| Temperature setting:

Press the heat button on the remote control. Then press the + and – buttons to adjust to the desired temperature. The temperature can be set between 15 °C and 30 °C.

CLEANING AND CARE

Note: Turn off the power by setting the power switch to the ‘0’ position and unplug the unit from the wall outlet. Wait until the appliance has cooled down completely before cleaning it.

  • Use a vacuum cleaner to clean the ventilation slots and grilles.
  • Clean the outside of the device with a soft and damp cloth. If necessary, a mild detergent may be used. After cleaning, dry the device completely with a soft cloth.
  •  Do not use alcohol, benzine, harsh detergents, abrasive cleaners, furniture polish or steel brushes for cleaning, as these may damage the surface of the device.
  • Do not spray or immerse the device in water or any other liquid.
  •  Wait until the device is completely dry before putting it back into operation.
  •  Never open the heater housing.

CAUTION: Risk of electric shock! Make sure that no liquid gets inside the device.

Storage
Store the unit in a dust-free location during the off -season. Ideally, pack it in the original carton. Wind the heater cable neatly to avoid damaging the cable.

TROUBLESHOOTING

Note: If problems occur, first read the instructions in the table below before contacting the manufacturer or customer service.

Problem Potential cause Solution
The unit does not emit warm air. The overheating protection of the device has

power plug out of the socket. Allow the unit to cool down and wait at least 10 minutes before reconnecting the power plug to the wall outlet and restarting the unit.
The fuse in the fuse box has blown out.| Reset the fuse.
The unit does not switch on even though the power switch has been set to the ‘I’ position.| The overheating protection has been triggered.| Switch off the device immediately and pull the power plug out of the socket. Allow the unit to cool down and wait at least 10 minutes before reconnecting the power plug to the wall outlet and restarting the unit.
