SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

  •  Please read this instruction manual carefully before use and keep in a safe place for future reference. If you give the appliance to another person supply them with the instruction manual.
  • This appliance is intended for use as Heated Throw/Overblanket. Use it for domestic purposes and in the way indicated in this instruction manual. The appliance is designed for private use. The appliance is not suited for commercial use, medical clinic use or pets.
  • Do not operate the appliance if the power cord is damaged, in case of malfunction or if it has been dropped or damaged in any manner. Should the cable be damaged, it must be replaced by a competent qualified electrician.
  • An electric appliance is no toy! Never leave the appliance unsupervised when in use.
  • This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
  •  Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance. Explain to your children all risks which can be caused by electric current.
  • Do not use it on persons insensitive to heat, helpless persons, infants or children without supervision. Do not use to warm animals.

WARNING

Risk of suffocation! Do not leave packaging components (plastic bags, cardboard, polystyrene, etc.) within easy reach of children. Always
check that the power supply corresponds to the voltage on the rating plate.

  • Unplug the appliance before removing or changing accessories, before cleaning accessories or the appliance, when malfunctioning occurs during use, when the appliance is not in use and after each use.
  • To unplug pull the plug, never pull on the power cable to avoid damage.
  • Never move the appliance by pulling the power cable. Make sure the power cable cannot get caught in any way.
  • Do not wind the power cable around the appliance and do not bend it. From time to time check if the power cable is damaged. If the appliance power cable is damaged do not use the appliance anymore.

WARNING

Danger of electric shock! The appliance power cable and the plug should never come into contact with water or any other liquids.

  • Never immerse the appliance when connected with the power cable or the plug in water or any other liquid for any reason whatsoever.
  • Never use the appliance near a sink or bathtub.
  •  Never touch the appliance with wet hands or standing on wet ground.
  • Never place the appliance on wet surfaces.
  • Never use the appliance outdoors. The appliance is not suited for outside use.
  • Additional protection may be obtained by fi tting a residual current device, that must not exceed 30 mA (IF < 30 mA) into your home installation. In this case, consult a qualifi ed electrician.
  • Before fi rst use ensure that your mains voltage corresponds to that stated on the rating plate of the appliance. Connect this appliance to a plug which is wired according to regulations.
  • Run the cable in a way that nobody can trip over it or pull on it to avoid accidents.
  • Take care that the cable never comes into contact with sharp edges and hot objects.

OPERATION

Before the First Use
  • Remove all packaging parts before initial operation and save for future storage.
  • When the item is used for the fi rst time, it can let off a slight odour but this will disappear after a short while.

WARNING

Danger of burning! Prolonged use can cause serious burns especially on high heat settings. The unit can get warm during operation. Never
fall asleep during use or do not use if you feel tired.

  • Never cover the control unit.
  • The Throw must never be used folded or crumpled.
  • Do not pull on the power cable, twist or bend it sharply.
  • Do not pierce the appliance with needles!
  • Only use original accessories.
  • Never leave the appliance unattended during operation and always unplug after use.

Use

  • With the heating blanket you can warm and relax your whole body.
  • The heating blanket features an electric temperature control that regulates precisely the warmth-supply according to the chosen setting (1-2-3-4-5-6).
  • The two outer layers of the three-layer blanket are made of High Quality soft microfi bre fl eece. The easy-care material and the detachable operating control make the blanket hand washable and machine washable up to 30 °C (wool program).

Temperature setting

  1. Plug the product into a mains power socket and press the ON/OFF button. The LCD display window will illuminate.
  2. Then press the temperature level setting button “+”, the temperature level will display level 1, the blanket will get warm gradually.
  3. If you require a higher temperature level, continue to press the temperature level setting “+” button. The temperature level can be set to 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 or the maximum temperature level 6.
  4. Should the heating blanket get too warm for you, just press the temperature level setting “-“ button to lower the temperature level.
  5. To switch off the device, press the ON/OFF button.
    • When not in use, unplug the heating blanket from the mains power socket.
    • The heating blanket is designed so that the temperature setting levels 1, 2 or 3 are suitable for continuous use. Keep the temperature level on 1, 2 or 3, if you want to use it in continuous operation.

Timer

  • The controller of the heating blanket has a timer button with “+” button and “-“ button. You can press these buttons to control how long you want the blanket to be left on.
  • You can set the timer for up to 12 hours. Unplug the heating blanket from the mains power socket when no longer in use.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Cleaning
  • Before washing the heating blanket, unplug it from the mains power socket and let it completely cool down. Unplug the control switch unit from the heating blanket using the connector on the underside.
  • The electric blanket may be washed by hand according to the instructions on the label or machine wash at 30 °C (wool program).
  • NEVER immerse the control unit in water as moisture must not be allowed into the unit.
Drying
  • To dry the heating blanket, lay it flat on a moisture-absorbent towel or mat. Hang on a clothes line to dry naturally without using securing pegs, never dry in a dryer or iron.
  • When the heating blanket is completely dry, it should be reconnected to the control switch unit in the correct manner.
Operation
  • The heating blanket must only be operated with the control unit provided with it.
Storage
  • When storing the heating blanket, allow it to cool down before folding.
  • Store the heating blanket in a clean and dry place.
  • When storing, do not place any objects on the electric blanket to prevent buckling and damage to the internal wiring.
