Soft fruit and cooked vegetables can be strained and baby food or purée can be prepared with the purée rod (4). Coarsely chop large pieces in advance. Please clean all parts described in the “Cleaning and maintenance” section before allowing them to come into contact with food.
Prepare the desired food and fill a sufficiently high and stable receptacle with the food.
Make sure that the device is disconnected from the power supply. Insert the purée rod (4) into the bottom of the coupling on the drive unit (3). Click the purée rod (4) into place. The purée rod (4) must be fitted securely onto the appliance and must not feel loose or fall off. Use the control dial (1) on the top of the appliance to select the required speed. You can also change the speed during operation. Keep the purée rod (4) in the food.
Caution: There may be a slight spray during operation. To avoid the spray, the lower end of the purée rod (4) with the blades should always be completely covered. Keep the appliance slightly angled when preparing liquid foods in order for the contents to mix better. If you are preparing hot food, make sure you do not hold the appliance in the steam so as to avoid condensation on the drive unit (3). You can use a small clean cloth to protect the drive unit (3) and your hands from the hot steam. Immediately wipe off any condensation that forms on the casing. Now you can insert the mains plug into the socket. Hold the container with one hand and press the start button (2). The motor starts up. As soon as your food has reached the desired consistency, release the start button (2). The appliance is designed to be used for short periods of time. After operating it for 90 seconds, take a break to allow the appliance to cool down to room temperature. Wait for the motor and purée rod (4) to come to a standstill and then remove the rod from the mixing bowl. Always pull the mains plug out of the socket before you clean the appliance.

Remove the power plug immediately after use. Clean the purée rod (4) immediately after every use. To pre-clean, the purée rod (4), just move it quickly from side to side for a short while in a container filled with hot water. Then, for best results, remove the purée rod (4) from the drive unit (3) for further cleaning.
