Congratulations on purchasing the NEW Dual-Action Luma Blue Light System. This device uses LED lights to deliver concentrated wavelengths of 415nm blue light intended for treatment of mild to moderate acne.

The Blue Luma Light System is FDA Cleared.

WHY USE LUMA BLUE?

Luma Blue is a FDA Cleared DUAL-Action Skin Care System to combine Blue Light Therapy and Cleansing for the treatment of mild to moderate acne.

RESULTS: WHAT CAN I EXPECT?

During Your Luma Blue Treatment : You may feel a warm sensation. Many users experience a decrease in blemish size and an improvement in their complexion.

After ONE (1) Week of Treatment : Most people will begin to see a decrease in the number of blemishes. The majority will also see a reduction in redness and skin oiliness, and continue to see an overall improvement in skin condition. When used regularly Luma Blue significantly reduces the amount of acne-causing bacteria on the skin helping prevent future breakouts.

Precautions

• Read all instructions before usinp your Luma Blue Lipht Device. Check the device before usinp.
• Stop immediately, if you experience any adverse effect or have a concern regarding use.
• Use this device only for its intended use as described in this manual.
• Use with safety goggles provided with the Blue Luma device.
• Do not look directly or shine light in the eyes while in operation.
• Do not use on eyelids; do not place the light over eyelids.
• Do not use if you are pregnant.
• Do not use if you have experienced a migraine in the last two years.
• Do not use over any suspicious or cancerous lesion. Consult your doctor.
• Do not allow children to use the device unsupervised.

Precautionary Instructions:

When using an electrical device, basic precautions should always be followed, including the following:

• Luma Blue should be operated, transported and stored in the manner specified in this manual.
• Take precaution when moving the device. Move the hand held device separately from the base in transport.
• Do not scratch, mark or otherwise damage the light emitting surface.
• Do not open, dissemble, drop or insert any object into any openings or try to fix the device as this may cause damage to the unit, malfunction, electrical shock, fire or personal injury. There are no user-serviceable ports inside the unit.
• Dispose of all products in accordance with local and national regulations and codes.
• Do not use if you are sensitive to light. If you are unsure whether you have increased sensitivity to light, we recommend you perform the Light Sensitivity Test instructed in this manual.
• Do not use if you are taking drugs known to make you sensitive to light. You may be sensitive to light and not know it. There are photosensitizing agents in drugs, foods, soaps, cosmetics, and dyes.
• Drugs that are known to cause light sensitivity: Antibiotics: NSAIDS; Diures: Retinoids; Hypoglycemics, HMG-CoA reductase inhibitors (statinsj, Photodynamic Therapy drugs, Prophoto sensitizers, Neuroleptic drugs, or Antifungals.
• Do not use over or near a recent steroid injection. Doing so may result in photosensitive reaction.

Warning

• Discontinue use if you encounter any discomfort or skin redness that lasts for more than two hours. You may hove sensitivity to light or another condition. Consult your health care provider.
• Never operate this device it has damaged cord or plug, if it is not working properly, if it has been dropped or damaged, or submerged in water. Return the device to Project E Beauty for examination and repair.
• Do not set or keep the device where it can fall or be pulled into a tub or sink. Keep away from water (including both and showerj. If the device accidentally falls in water unplug immediately. Keep away from flammable aerosol products.
• Do not use other AC Power Supplies or Chargers with your Luma Blue.
• Turn off immediately, if Luma Blue begins to overheat.

CONTRAINDICTIONS

DO NOT USE if one of the following pertains to you.

Light Sensitivity : Do not use if you are sensitive to light. You ore sensitive to light if you experience any discomfort or skin redness that lasts more than two hours. Discontinue using the device and consult with your healthcare provider.

Implantable Device : Do not use this device if you have a cardiac pacemaker, implanted defibrillator, shunt or other implanted electronic device. This device contains magnets that may cause interference with these devices resulting in serious injury or death.

Pregnant: Do not use if you are pregnant or think you might be pregnant. The device has not been tested on pregnant women and the effects, if any, are unknown.

Migraine: Do not use if you have experienced a migraine in the last two years.

Seizures: Do not use if you have a history of light trippered seizures.

Lesions: Do not use this device over any suspicious or cancerous lesions. To do so may result in delaying the best medical treatment.

Failure to use and maintain the Luma Blue in accordance with the instructions outlined in this manual will invalidate the warranty.

GETTING TO KNOW LUMA BLUE

Luma Blue is a Dual-Action Device combining LED lights to deliver concentrated beams of 415nm blue wavelengths to treat mild to moderate acne.

Mode Select Button:

Mode 1 : CLEANSE: Press “Power” Button once to turn the cleansing motion to LOW speed. Press a second time for HIGH speed. Press apain to turn off.

Mode 2: LIGHT – Press once to activate the blue light. Press again to turn off.

REMOVABLE BRUSH HEAD

To Remove your brush head, place fingers firmly on rose gold ring, twist counter clockwise and pull.

To reattach, line up divets inside rose gold ring with device and twist clockwise.

SETTING UP FOR YOUR FIRST TREATMENT

Charging Your Device

Plug the power supply into the base of the charging unit (see A and B) and plug into a wall outlet. If you do not insert the plug all the way into the base your device will not charge.

Put device on base for approximately 8 hours to charge.

Note: the treatment head will glow purple for 20 minutes when charging starts. This is the UV Clean Light Technology sanitizing the bristles.

LIGHT SENSITIVITY TEST AND EYE SAFETY

Recommended Before Use

In order to determine if you have a Light Sensitivity issue please follow the Instructions below. It is recommended that you test a small, less sensitive area of skin (i.e., like your forearm).

1. Press the “Light” button to activate light.

2. Place the device on an area of the arm (like photo). Leave in contact with your skin for a 3-minute treatment cycle.

3. Repeat by doing another 3-minute treatment on the same area of your arm.

4. Wait 24 hours. You should NOT experience any adverse reaction during the next 24 hours.

A bad reaction to light occurs if you have pain or discomfort in the treatment areas or any skin redness for more than two hours. It can be due to medication, supplements, or a possible skin issue.

EYE SAFETY

1. Position the goggles over your eyes
2. Tie the elastic band so that the goggles fit comfortably.

It is NOT recommended to shine the light source directly into eyes or the eyes of others.

Be sure you never look directly into the LEDs.

HOW TO USE LUMA BLUE

Mode 1: Blue Light Therapy With Daily Cleansing

For best results, use in the morning and night to cleanse your skin to remove make-up, dirt, and other impurities.

Step 1:   Place cleanser on brush head

Step 2 : It is recommended to use goggles when using the light.

Note: The blue light will automatically turn off after 3 minutes .

Step 3: Press the “POWER ” button on the device to start.
Press the “Light” button on the device once.

Step 4 : Proceed moving over the entire surface of the face and neck until satisfied.

Note: Press the “power ” button a second time for a higher speed. Press again to turn off the brush motion.

Step 5 : Slowly move in little circles over the face.

Step 6 : Slowly move upwards from the chin to the bottom of the ear. Lift the device off the skin and move from the chin to the corners of the mouth.

Step 7:   Rinse and dry skin. Place device back on the charger.

Mode 2: Blue Light Therapy For Acne

Twice a day target affected areas with blue light only for 3 minutes per area.

Step 1 : Cleanse your skin until satisfied.

Step 2 : Take brush head off device so the light lens is directly against the skin.

Step 3 : It is recommended to use goggles.

Note: the light will Outomotically turn off in 3 minutes. Hold over the target area for 3 minutes .

Step 5 : Move to another area and press the “Light” button OgOin to start the treatment.

Step 6: Place device back on the charger.

HOW TO CARE FOR YOUR LUMA BLUE

Luma Blue Maintenance

The following are important instructions to ensure that your Luma Blue continues to work as described in this manual. Failure to follow these instructions may cause your device to stop working.

Battery Care

We recommend keeping your Luma Blue fully charged. After use, store the device in the recharging base. When your Luma Blue is not being used for extended periods of time, leave the device in the recharging base without connecting the AC power adapter.

Cleaning Your Device

1. Clean your Luma Blue treatment surface after each use.
2. Rinse treatment surface with water and soap ONLY and allow to air dry.

Your Luma Blue is not Waterproof.

DO NOT submerge in water. Do not put in dishwasher. If you do submerge or place in a dishwasher you could permanently damage it. Should the device accidentally become submersed, do not attempt to use it.

UV CleonLight Technology.

When placing on the charging base, your device will emit sanitizing ultra- violet light from the treatment surface for 20 minutes. It will repeat this cycle every 4 hours. The UV light helps reduce bacteria and certain microorganisms that grow on the brush.

TROUBLESHOOTING TIPS

Indicator Light Not On| The indicator light is not on when the device is charging in the base.| It is helpful to ensure the recharging base in the correct position and it is plugged into a working AC outlet.

Check to ensure the metal probes on the device are aligned with the metal probes in the charger.

Device Turns Off| The device turns off in the middle of a treatment or only after a few treatments.| Place the device back in the recharging station in the correct position for 30 minutes.
