Thank you for purchasing the Project E Beauty Red LED+ Anti-Aging Therapy Device. This device utilizes LED Photon methods to treat a variety of skin conditions.
What separates this device from other beauty devices is the LED Photon feature. This function takes skincare to the next level and you will achieve results more effectively and faster than imaginable. Photon therapy works using the natural healing power of light to treat numerous skin issues utilizing the latest in LED technology. Exposing light to the skin’s surface activates the skin’s photoreceptors and lets the skin cells absorb its energy. It accelerates cell biochemical circulation and stimulates the production of collagen. These safe, non-invasive technologies can be beneficial in the treatment of many skin conditions ranging from acne, wrinkles, and spot removal to skin tightening. These utilized functions have been found to enhance oxygenation, stimulate dermal tissue, kill bacteria causing acne, and treat oily or combination skin problems. Although results can vary widely by individual and skin type, skin care treatment is appropriate for all types of skin. Cosmetologists and skin care specialists agree that these treatments, when properly performed, have no side effects. LED Photon Therapy
The Photon Beauty Device, designed for facial beautification, uses natural light waves, which are transmitted by LEDs into the skin. The light activates photoreceptors in skin cells, producing energy for absorption by skin components, to beautify your complexion.
Studies show that light enters the body as photons (energy) and is absorbed by the photoreceptors within cells. Massaging with the Photon Beauty balances skin tone and enhances circulation. Light is known for helping with some beauty problems, for instance, inhibiting the formation of melanin pigment, fighting acne and dermatitis, and improving the look of pockmarks, scars, and wrinkles.
Red Light(~630nm):
Red Photon LEDs penetrate the skin approximately 8-1 O mm, which will stimulate fiber cells and the production of collagen, reducing wrinkles and making skin more elastic and smooth. Optimal for surrounding eyes and forehead and works best for fine lines, reducing pore size and swelling after surgery.
How Often
Perform each treatment for 10 minutes four times a week to start. Once the goal is achieved, use only twice a week.

Precautions

• Read all instructions before using your Red LED+ Anti-Aging Therapy Device and make sure you understand all of the operating instructions.
  Always check the device before use to ensure it is undamaged. Use of a damaged device can be unsafe.

• Stop immediately, if you experience any adverse effect or have a concern regarding use.

• Do not look directly or shine light in the eyes while in operation.

• Do not use on eyelids; do not place the light over eyelids.

• Do not use if you are pregnant.

• Do not use if you have experienced a migraine in the last two years.

• Do not use over any suspicious or cancerous lesion. Consult your doctor.

• Do not use the device while using any product that contains AHA or glycolic acid. This can cause unwanted levels of stress in the skin.

• Do not allow children to use the device unsupervised.

• Always unplug the device correctly by holding the plug and removing it from the electrical socket.

• Remember that improper maintenance or negligence can cause damage and void the warranty. This also refers to improper storage.

1. Read these instructions, hold onto them, follow them, and always heed all warnings.
2. Never use the device near water or areas of concentrated humidity.
3. Disinfect the LED surface cover with a soft cloth and a light concentration of rubbing alcohol. Carefully clean the machine of all types of skin oil.
4. Always use the device in line with the manufacturer’s regulations, and never block any of the ventilation openings on the side of the device.
5. Dispose of all products in accordance with local and national regulations and codes.
6. Do not use if you are sensitive to light. If you are unsure whether you have increased sensitivity to light, we recommend you perform the Light Sensitivity Test instructed in this manual.
7. Do no use if you are taking drugs known to make you sensitive to light. You may be sensitive to light and not know it. There are photosensitizing agents in drugs, food, soaps, cosmetics, and dyes.
8. Drugs that are known to cause light sensitivity: Antibiotics; NSAIDS; Diures; Retinoids; Hypoglycemics, HMG-CoA reductase inhibitors (statins), Photodynamic Therapy drugs, Prophoto sensitizers, Neuroleptic drugs, or Antifungals.
9. Do not use over or near a recent steroid injection. Doing so may result in a photosensitive reaction.

Warning

• Discontinue use if you encounter any discomfort or skin redness that lasts for more than two hours. You may have sensitivity to light or another condition. Consult your health care provider.
• Never operate this device if it has a damaged cord or plug if it is not working properly, if it has been dropped or damaged, or submerged in water. Return the device to Project E Beauty for examination and repair.
• Do not set or keep the device where it can fall or be pulled into a tub or sink. Keep away from water (including bath and shower). If the device accidentally falls in water unplug it immediately.
• Keep away from flammable aerosol products.
• Do not use other AC Power Supplies or Chargers with your LED device.
• Turn off immediately, if the device begins to overheat.

Contraindications

• DO NOT USE if one of the following pertains to you.
• Light Sensitivity: Do not use if you are sensitive to light. You are sensitive to light if you experience any discomfort or skin redness that lasts more than two hours. Discontinue using the device and consult with your healthcare provider.
• Implantable Device: Do not use this device if you have a cardiac pacemaker, implanted defibrillator, shunt or other implanted electronic device. This device contains magnets that may cause interference with these devices resulting in serious injury or death.
• Pregnant: Do not use if you are pregnant or think you might be pregnant. The device has not been tested on pregnant women and the effects, if any, are unknown.
• Migraine: Do not use if you have experienced a migraine in the last two years.
• Seizures: Do not use if you have a history of light-triggered seizures.
• Lesions: Do not use this device over any suspicious or cancerous lesions. To do so may result in delaying the best medical treatment.
• Failure to use and maintain the device in accordance with the instructions outlined in this manual will invalidate the warranty.

Light Sensitivity Test

Recommended Before Use
In order to determine if you have a Light Sensitivity Issue please follow the Instructions below. It is recommended that you test a small, less sensitive area of skin (i.e., like your forearm).

1. Press the “ON/OFF” button to turn on the device. Select either “Pulse” or “Continuous” mode to activate the light.
2. Place the device on an area of the forearm. Leave in contact with your skin for a 3-minute treatment cycle.
3. Repeat by doing another 3-minute treatment on the same area of your arm.
4. Wait 24 hours. You should NOT experience any adverse reaction during the next 24 hours.

A bad reaction to light occurs if you have pain or discomfort in the treatment areas or any skin redness for more than two hours. It can be due to medication, supplements, or a possible skin issue.

Eye Safety

1. Position the goggles over your eyes
2. Tie the elastic band so that the goggles fit comfortably.
3. It is NOT recommended to shine the light source directly into eyes or the eyes of others.

Warning

Be sure you never look directly into the LEDs.

Use of the Device

Before performing a treatment you should do the following:

• Check if absolute or relative contraindications exist.
• Check that the device is functioning properly and the electrical cord is not damaged.
• Ensure there are not any flammable materials near the workspace.

Follow these steps when performing a treatment:

1. Before you first use the device,  charge it for 3 hours.

For Charging:
Simply Connect the USB cable to the common SV USB power source.
Connect the cable to the charging jack on the massager.
Charging
This device can be used connected to AC or can be charged to be used without the AC cord. To plug in and charge the unit, perform the following:

Use of the Device

1. Disinfect the surface with a soft cloth. Thoroughly clean the face with soap and water, and dry.

2. Use a Hyaluronic Acid Serum, or cream on areas you will be working on to achieve the best results.
   You can purchase our Hyaluronic Acid Serum at www.projectebeauty.com It is highly recommended to put on the supplied eye protectors at this time.

3. Press the ON/OFF button to turn the unit on; the Power indicator will light up. Cover your eyes with the goggles provided. Select “Continuous” mode for skin activation. It provides constant light energy that lasts for 10 minutes. After that, it will switch off automatically.

4. Select “Pulse” made for skin treatment. It provides a short specific pulse of light energy, which enhances the treatments.
   The skin treatment will last for 10 minutes. You can repeat this process for all the desired areas.

5. Perform treatment for 10 minutes (except nose) four times a week to start. Once the goal is achieved, use it only twice a week. Place the device on the skin and move in the directions as shown according to the desired effects. Tighten Skin:
   Slowly move from the corner of the mouth towards the area near the eyes.
   Pull up Sides of Mouth:
   Slowly move from the corner of the mouth slightly inwards and upwards.

Prevent Treatment on Eczema and Acne: Do not operate on the exact area of eczema, acne, etc., but use on the surrounding skin to aid in natural healing.
Double Chin:
Slowly move upwards from the chin to the bottom of the ear, then lift the device off the skin and move from the chin to the corners of the mouth.
Note: Always move upwards; do not move the unit downwards.
Nose Care
Slowly move the device around your nose and on the bridge of your nose for 1-2 minutes.
Bags Under the Eyes:
Slowly move in the following directions: From the corners of the eyes to the temples to the top of the neck and down to the armpits.

1. For “Continuous” mode, the device will automatically turn off after 10 minutes. For “Pulse” mode, it will automatically turn off after 10 minutes. You can press the NO/OFF button to turn the unit off.

Maintenance

• Properly unplug the device by holding the plug and removing it from the AC outlet.
• After each use, disinfect the surface with a soft cloth.
• Immediately dry off any moisture, chemicals, or water on the device.
• Always keep the device clean and sterilized.
• Store the device in a dry place.
