When using the machine, always observe the enclosed safety instructions as well as the additional safety instructions. The following symbols are used throughout this manual.
- This appliance can be used by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance.
- The steam must not be directed towards equipment containing electrical components.
- The appliance has to be unplugged after use and before carrying out user maintenance on the appliance.
- The appliance shall not be left unattended while it is connected to the supply mains.
- The appliance is not to be used if it has been dropped, if there are visible signs of damage or if it is leaking.
- Keep the appliance out of reach of children when it is energized or cooling down.
- Always check that the power supply corresponds to the voltage on the rating plate.
- Keep work area clean. Cluttered areas and benches invite injuries.

- Check for damaged parts. Never use a damaged machine. Damaged parts must be properly repaired or replaced by an authorized service center.
- Avoid unintentional starting. Always disconnect tools when they are not in use. Also before servicing, changing accessories, …
- Always use a suitable cable according to the specifications of this machine.
- Always keep the area of the power supply socket free when operating the machine. You must always be able to disconnect the machine immediately when necessary.
- Never unplug the machine by pulling the cable.
- Never unplug the supply cord when the machine is operating.
- Do not force the machine. It will do a better job and operate more safely at the rate for which it was intended.
- Maintain tools with care. Keep tools clean for better and safer performance.
- Consider work area environment. Do not use electric tools in damp or wet locations. Keep work area well lit.
- Do not use electric tools near flammable liquids or gases.

- Do not use the appliance near children of animals.
- Do not point the appliance on people, animals or electric appliances.
- Always check if the appliance has been designed for the work surface.
- Always unplug the appliance when it needs to be refilled.
- Only use clean water.
- Do not use cleaning products, chemicals or inflammable liquids. It will damage the appliance.
- Do not submerse the appliance in water or other liquids.
- Do not use the appliance without the water tank cap.
- Avoid contact with the hot parts of the appliance.
- Let the appliance cool down after use.
Assembly
Hose
- Connect the hose to the machine
- Attach it very firmly.
Steamplate
- Connect the steam plate with the hose.
- Attach it very firmly.
Filling the water tank
- Switch off and unplug the appliance before starting to refill the water tank.
- Remove the water tank knob.
- Fill the water tank with a maximum of 4,5L water. Use warm water if you want to shorten the starting time.
- Replace the water tank knob.
- Connect the power supply cord with the appliance.
- Plug in the appliance and switch it on.
- It will take around 10 minutes to warm the water. You can start working when steam (without pressure) comes out of the steam plate.
- Always wait 2 minutes before unplugging the appliance after use or when you would like to refill the water tank.
- A safety valve allows steam to escape when the hose is blocked.

Operation
Switch off and unplug the appliance before starting to refill the appliance. Always wait 2 minutes before unplugging the appliance after use or when you would like to refill the water tank.
- Place the steam plate directly onto the wallpaper for at least 10-20 seconds.
- Move the steam plate to another section and remove the wall paper.
- If it is difficult to remove the wallpaper you can repeat it. For some types of wallpaper you can cut in slightly the paper. This will allow the steam to get better underneath the top layer of the paper.
- Do not keep the steam plate on the same position for a longer period.
- Avoid the water in the water tank to evaporate completely. You can use the appliance for around 50 minutes when the water tank is filled with 3L of water. Check regularly the water level of the water tank.
- If the water is missing in the water tank, an automatic mechanism will interrupts the power supply. It will restore the power supply after filling up.
Cleaning and Maintenance
The machine does not require any special maintenance.
- After every use clean out the water tank to avoid lime scale.
- Do not use detergents, acids or flammables products to clean the appliance.
- Always unplug the appliance and wait till it is cooled down before cleaning.

General Warranty Conditions Concerning Consumer Products (for EU)
- All consumer products are subject to a 24-month warranty on production flaws and defective material as from the original date of purchase.
- Velleman® can decide to replace an article with an equivalent article, or to refund the retail value totally or partially when the complaint is valid and a free, repair or replacement of the article is impossible, or if the expenses are out of proportion.
- You will be delivered a replacing article or a refund at the value of 100% of the purchase price in case of a flaw occurred in the first year after the date of purchase and delivery, or a replacing article at 50% of the purchase price or a refund at the value of 50% of the retail value in case of a flaw occurred in the second year after the date of purchase and delivery.
Not covered by warranty
- all direct or indirect damage caused after delivery to the article (e.g. by oxidation, shocks, falls, dust, dirt, humidity…), and by the article, as well as its contents (e.g. data loss), compensation for loss of profits;
- consumable goods, parts or accessories that are subject to an aging process during normal use, such as batteries (rechargeable, non-rechargeable, built-in or, replaceable), lamps, rubber parts, drive belts… (unlimited list);
- flaws resulting from fire, water damage, lightning, accident, natural disaster, etc.…;
- flaws caused deliberately, negligently or resulting from improper handling,negligent maintenance, abusive use or use contrary to the manufacturer’s instructions;
- damage caused by a commercial, professional or collective use of the article (the warranty validity will be reduced to six (6) months when the article is used professionally);
- damage resulting from an inappropriate packing and shipping of the article;
- all damage caused by modification, repair or alteration performed by a third party without written permission by Velleman®.
- Articles to be repaired must be delivered to your Velleman® dealer, solidly packed (preferably in the original packaging), and be completed with the original receipt of purchase and a clear flaw description.
- Hint: In order to save on cost and time, please reread the manual and check if the flaw is caused by obvious causes prior to presenting the article for repair.
- Note that returning a non-defective article can also involve handling costs.
- Repairs occurring after warranty expiration are subject to shipping costs.
- The above conditions are without prejudice to all commercial warranties.
