Cleaning and Maintenance
- Keep the device and the battery compartment clean and prevent liquids from entering the electronic part to avoid damaged electronics.
- Clean the device with petrol, lubricate the body with some clock oil. Acetone and alcohol should not be used.
Troubleshooting
Problem | Cause | Solution |

The 5 digits change every second | Battery voltage is under 1.45 V | Replace |

Displayed value does not change.| Circuitry malfunction| Remove the battery
and put it back after 30 seconds.
LCD shows 000.00 mm /00.000 in| One of the keys is short circuited| Remove the
cover and adjust key spring position
Function keys do not work| Key spring is bent or deformed| Remove the cover
and adjust key spring position
Caliper does not measure accurately| Sensor is dirty| Remove the cover and
slider assembly, clean the sensor with pressure air (≤ 51 kg/cm²), and clean
it with a little petrol for dirt prevention.
No display on LCD screen|
- No battery contact.
- Battery voltage is under 1.1 V.

- Replace battery
