User Guide
R2X Helmet Set-Up Guide
Powering On
Press and hold the (+) Button and Center Button for 1 second.
Phone Pairing
The R2X will automatically enter the phone pairing mode when you initially
turn on the R2X or in the following situation:
Rebooting after executing Factory Reset.
- Press and hold the (+) Button and Center Button for 1 second until the LED flashes blue alternately and you hear a voice prompt, “Phone pairing”.
- With your mobile phone in Bluetooth-pairing mode, select R2X in the list of devices detected.
- If your mobile phone asks for a PIN, enter 0000.
- The mobile phone confirms that pairing has been completed and the R2X is ready to use.
You will hear a voice prompt, “Your headset is paired”.
Note:
- The phone pairing mode lasts for 3 minutes.
- To cancel phone pairing, tap the Center Button.

a. Powering On and Off
Power On: Press and hold the (+) Button and Center Button for 1 second.
Power Off: Tap the (+) Button and Center Button.
b. Phone Pairing
When using the R2X with a smartphone for the first time, they will need to be
“paired.” The R2X remains paired with the devices and automatically reconnects
to them when they are within range.
b.1 Initially Pairing the R2X Helmet
The R2X will automatically enter the phone pairing mode when you initially
turn on the R2X or in the following situation:
Rebooting after executing Factory Reset.
- Press and hold the (+) Button and Center Button for 1 second until the LED flashes blue alternately and you hear a voice prompt, “Phone pairing”.
- With your mobile phone in Bluetooth-pairing mode, select R2X in the list of devices detected.
- If your mobile phone asks for a PIN, enter 0000.
- The mobile phone confirms that pairing has been completed and the R2X is ready to use.
You will hear a voice prompt, “Your headset is paired”.
b.2 Pairing When the R2X Helmet is Turned Off
- While the R2X is off, press and hold the (+) Button and Center Button for 5 seconds until the LED flashes blue alternately and you hear a voice prompt, “Phone pairing”.
b.3) Pairing When the R2X Helmet is Turned On
- While the R2X is on, press and hold the Center Button for 5 seconds until the LED flashes blue alternately and you hear a voice prompt, “Phone pairing”.
Factory Reset
To erase all of your settings and start fresh, the R2X can be restored to
factory default settings using the factory reset.
- To restore the R2X to factory default settings, press and hold the Center Button for 10 seconds until you hear a voice prompt, “Factory reset”.
2. Within 10 seconds, Tap the Center Button to confirm reset.
The R2X will be restored to the factory setting and switched off automatically.
You will hear a voice prompt, “Headset reset, goodbye”.
Running the R2X Utility App
Download and install files
Download and install the APK file from the following link

Launch the R2X Utility App on your Android phone.
If R2X is not connected, the [Let’s Get Started] screen is displayed.
Power on the R2X helmet and Phone Pairing
Press and hold the (+) Button and Center Button for 1 second. (refer to “CH
1.2 Phone Pairing”)
Click the Next Button moves to the [Bluetooth Setting] screen of the smartphone. Select [R2X] and go back to the app.
After connecting the device, if the firmware is the latest version, check the connected device information and set the name.
Press the input box and the keypad appears at the bottom of the screen.
Set a name and click the Save Button to complete the name setting.
R2X Firmware Update
How to update the firmware when connecting R2X for the first time after installing the R2X Utility app.
After connecting the device, If the device firmware is not the latest version,
it moves to the firmware update guide screen.
Firmware update starts when you click the [Start] button.
When the firmware update is complete, the [Firmware Update Complete] screen
automatically moves to the [Name Your Device] screen.
How to update the firmware when connecting R2X more than once after
installing the R2X Utility app.
When the R2X is powered on, it is automatically connected to the App and it
switches to the [Home] screen.
If the R2X needs a firmware update, it will go to the firmware update screen.
Firmware update starts when you click the [Start] button.
When the firmware update is complete, the [Firmware Update Complete] screen automatically moves to the [Home] screen.![Sena R2X HELMET AND R2X UTILITY APP

Running the Amazon Alexa App
Running the Amazon Alexa app the first time you use the RX2 utility app.
When the device name setting is completed( Refer ch 3.1.2), the [Amazon Alexa]
screen appears automatically.
Click the Next Button to move to the next screen.
Note. Running the Amazon Alexa APP after the first use of the RX2 Utility App
- Click the upper left of the [Home] screen -> Click [Amazon Alexa ] Button -> Click [NEXT] Button -> Click [Amazon Alexa ] Link
Click the Amazon Alexa App link on the [Amazon Alexa Things To Try] screen.
- If the Amazon Alexa App is not installed, click the install button to go to the [Play Store] installation screen.
- If the Amazon Alexa App is installed, run the Amazon Alexa App.
Log in using your Amazon Account or register with a new Amazon Account.
Click the [Devices] Button - >Click the [+] Button -> Click the [Add
Device]
Click the [Headphones] -> Click the [Sena R2X] -> Click the [CONTINUE]
Click the [Done] -> If R2X is normally registered, click [All devices] in the Device tap, and Sena R2X is displayed online.
Calling Alexa
Trigger
- When you call “Alexa”, you hear a response tone and the Cyan LED blinks once.
- If you press the [+] button and [–] button at the same time, you hear a response tone and the Cyan LED blinks once.
Note.
When triggering is not possible, a double tone is produced.
Calling Test
- Ask a question with “Alexa, what is the date?”-> “Today is… ..” you should hear.
Microphone Mute
Mic Mute On
- Press the Center Button and (-) Button for 1 second.
- Red LED lights up with a high single tone.
Note.
When Mic Mute is On, it is impossible to call Alexa. (Even a button cannot be
called)
Mic Mute off
- Press the ‘Center’ and ‘-’ buttons for 1 second.
- Red LED turns off along with a mid-single tone.
Note.
When Mic Mute is off, you can call Alexa. (Also available with a button)
