Consumption values may vary depending on the relative humidity in the room of
operation.
**30W Consumption during the fan operation.
The fan only operation is a function that cannot be manually selected. It is
automatically selected when the moisture content in the room is lower than
that set by the MODE button.
When Low Fan Speed is set, the consumption can reach a maximum of 330W,
regardless of the mode (MODE) that has been selected.
When the Medium or High Fan Speed is set, the consumption may reach a maximum
of 650W.
The deviation rate of the above values is +/- 5%.
*** Desiccant dehumidifiers, operate without the use of a compressor, which is considered cutting edge technology for greater efficiency at lower room temperatures. FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS & TROUBLE
Does the Zeolite need replacing?
No there is no need for replacement. The Zeolite is regenerated within the dehumidifier and this will last for many years.
Are dehumidifiers expensive to run?
For the first month upon its initial operation, the dehumidifier operates at its maximum in order to calibrate in its working environment. As time passes, this will gradually reduce, since the dehumidifier will be controlled via its humidistat. In regards to damp houses, the use of a dehumidifier may lower your central billing costs significantly.
Do desiccant dehumidifiers generate an unpleasant smell?
During the first days of usage and periodically afterwards you might notice a
smell coming from the dehumidifier. This is caused by the Zeolite desiccant
material and is not a sign that the dehumidifier is not working properly nor
is it harmful to humans or pets.
The smell occurs because the Zeolite absorbs odors from items like cigarettes,
cosmetics, hair sprays, building materials and new furniture, and as the
desiccant is heated the smell is discharged into the room. You can clear it by
running the dehumidifier in a separate space like a garage or – if it is dry –
outside.
Where would it be better to place the dehumidifier?
For optimal results, it is suggested to place the dehumidifier in a central area, like a hallway. Leave the doors open and the moisture will migrate naturally towards the device to be processed.
Can we replace the filter with one of other type like HEPA filter etc.?
No, the filter can’t be replaced.
Which is the appropriate room humidity level?
The suggested humidity range fluctuates between 40% and 60%. This level of an average humidity ensures the greatest comfort for you and your family, preventing allergies or diseases, and keeps your home healthy and well maintained, in terms of plasterboards, dye exfoliation, wood furniture and any other equipment or material that is susceptible to the harmful consequences of extremely high humidity conditions.
Why there is still condensation from the windows, even by using the dehumidifier?
When the room reaches the preferred humidity level, there is a possibility of humidity appearance on windows. This happens due to the temperature difference of the room’s and external ambient temperature. Keep running the dehumidifier and when the air temperature outside increases the windows should clear of condensation.
The dehumidifier is not a heating device. What could be the cause of warm air being extracted?
The desiccant dehumidifier Rise, operates with an electrical resistance that warms up the desiccant material. As a result, the temperature of the outgoing air has been increased to 10°C comparing to the room’s temperature. This doesn’t denote in any case that this device can be used as a heating appliance.
The unit does not start
- Make sure the dehumidifier’s plug is placed completely into the socket.
- Check the house fuse/circuit breaker box.

- Make sure there are no curtains, blinds or furniture blocking the front or back of the dehumidifier.
- The humidity selector may not be set low enough.
- Make sure you have cleaned the filter as suggested. Clogged filter may result in reduced performance.
- All house exits (windows doors etc) where the dehumidifier is operating, should be shut.
- Room temperature is below the advised operational range.
- There is a kerosene heater or something giving off water vapor in the room.
- The room that the device is placed is bigger than suggested.
- The humidity level is too high.
The unit makes a loud noise when operating
- The air filter is clogged.
- The device is titled instead of being in an upright position.
- The floor surface is not flat.
