Alecto DTS-814 Electronic Time Switch
**Instruction Manual**
Function:
Connect devices to the DTS-814 to have them switch on and off automatically.
The switching assignments are performed to the exact minute.
Up to a maximum of 20 different on and off switching times may be programmed; these can be repeated daily, weekly or for only part of the week, according to your requirements.
A built-in rechargeable battery maintains the time and programming data in case of a mains power outage and allows you to program the switching times with the timer disconnected from the outlet.
Preparation:
3. Set the on/off switch of the device or lamp you’ll be connecting to the on position
To set the actual day and time:
Finally release the CLOCK button and the actual time and day are now stored
*: MO = Monday
TU = Tuesday
WE = Wednesday
TH = Thursday
FR = Friday
SA = Saturday
SU = Sunday
Daylight saving time:
To set the switching times:
Up to a maximum of 20 different on and off switching times may be programmed; these can be repeated daily, weekly or on a combination of days, according to your requirements.
To check & adjust the switching times:
Manual control:
Use the MANUAL button to switch the device or lamp on and off manually.
Random function:
When the Random function is enabled, the connected lamp or device is switched on or off according to the programme steps, however with a random delay of up to a maximum of 30 minutes.
Countdown:
The Countdown function allows you to immediately switch on the lamp or device and to keep it switched on for a pre-set period of time This function may be used in combination with the programmed switching times, in which case the Countdown function is given the priority
Type of device:
Because the DTS-814 uses a relay for its switching function, basically
anything running on 230 Volts may be connected.
Outdoor lighting may also be operated, provided that the time switch is
located indoors.
Specifications:
– 250V, 10A, 2300W max.
– Only applicable indoors.
Discarding the time switch:
The time switch may not be discarded as normal household waste at the end of its life span, you must bring it to a collection point for the recycling of electric and electronic devices.
