Frequently Asked Questions
-
What’s the deal with my Victrola flashing blue?
INDICATOR OF ST/BT When the unit is waiting for pairing, a blue light flashes. When an external device is linked to the unit, the blue light remains lit. When a station is received in stereo mode, a red light lights. -
What’s wrong with my Victrola?
The most typical cause is that the machine isn’t properly connected in. If you’ve verified the power cord and it appears to be correctly plugged in, the fuse should be examined next. Victrolas utilise a unique sort of fuse, so make sure you have the right one in your owner’s manual. -
Is the Victrola a Bluetooth device?
The Victrola Journey portable suitcase turntable is a true classic with a plethora of options. Built-in Bluetooth technology allows you to stream music wirelessly from any Bluetooth-enabled device, as well as a 3-speed belt-driven turntable (33 1/3, 45, and 78 RPM) and a 3.5mm aux-in jack for playing music from non-Bluetooth devices. -
On a Victrola record player, how does Bluetooth work?
To send the signal from your turntable through Bluetooth, all you need is a phono preamplifier and a Bluetooth transmitter. If your preamplifier has an external phono output, connect the transmitter to it. You can pair your turntable with a Bluetooth-enabled speaker or amplifier once it has been connected. -
Why is the power button on my Victrola blinking?
The speaker is in pairing mode when the LED blinks rapidly and can be linked to devices. -
What’s the deal with my Victrola record player being so quiet?
By their very nature, record players are silent. They generate a very weak electrical signal that must be amplified twice. A preamp (internal or external) amplifies it first, bringing it up to the same line level as a CD player. Then it needs to be boosted again so that it can be heard through your speakers. -
What is the difference between a Bluetooth audio transmitter and a Bluetooth audio receiver?
A Bluetooth transmitter is a gadget that allows you to send audio from one device to another wirelessly. It works by adding Bluetooth to devices that don’t have it already (like an older smart TV). -
What is the best way to connect a turntable to a soundbar?
If your turntable has a built-in preamp, you can connect it directly to any soundbar input labeled AUX, or another moniker such as LINE, Audio, or something similar. This can be done with a phono/RCA cable. -
Why isn’t my record player turning on the speakers?
Check to see if your speakers or amplifier are turned on. Remove the stylus protector (1) from the stylus (2) before playing back. Make sure it doesn’t come off with the stylus. Check the balance of your tonearm; if the tracking weight is incorrect, the stylus will not track in the grooves of the record. -
Is it possible to hook up a record player to a Bluetooth speaker?
A phono preamp, a Bluetooth transmitter, and powered speakers (or an amp) with a Bluetooth input or receiver are required to connect your turntable through Bluetooth. Although Bluetooth can sound fantastic, you may lose some melodic detail and accuracy.
