EXPLANATION OF SYMBOLS

The following symbols and signal words are used in this user manual, on the the lamps or on the packaging.

INTENDED USE

This luminaire (hereinafter simply light) is designed for indoor lighting purposes. The light can be controlled with a smartphone and the tint Smart Light app or with the tint remote control (optionally available). Alternatively, the light can also be incorporated into a Smart Home system with Zigbee gateway. Different shades of white (1800-6500 K) can be set, and the light can be dimmed. The luminaire may be mounted only on walls/ceilings with the permissible load-bearing capacity. The item is unsuitable for commercial use.
The tint products from MÜLLER-LICHT can be controlled using the latest Zigbee radio standard 3.0 and are compatible with a range of light control systems, such as Philips Hue (without Hue Entertainment and without HomeKit integration), Magenta SmartH-ome, Amazon’s voice assistant (using Amazon Echo devices with integrated Zigbee Smart Home Hub, for example Echo 4th Generation, or Echo Plus)** and many more.

SAFETY INFORMATION

NOTICE! The luminaire can be dimmed via a tint remote control or other control devices based on Zigbee. A conventional dimmer may not be used.

WARNING!

• Children are not allowed to play with the item.

• Keep children away from packaging materials. There is danger of suffocation if swal-lowed.

• The luminaires may only be installed by authorized qualified personnel in accordance with the applicable electrical installation regulations.

• Before starting the installation work, disconnect the power supply line from the mains: switch off the automatic circuit breaker or unscrew the fuse and secure it against being switched on again.

• Before use, make sure that the existing mains voltage corresponds with the required operating voltage of the article.

• Do not use the article if it is damaged.

• It is forbidden to change the mechanical or electrical construction of the lamp.

• Make sure that the connecting cable is not damaged.

• In the event of damage caused by non-observance of the safety and assembly in-structions, the warranty will expire. The manufacturer accepts no liability for conse-quential damage resulting from this.

INSTALLATION AND CONNECTION

WARNING! Electric shock and danger of short circuit!
Disconnect the power supply line from the mains before installation: switch off the circuit breaker or unscrew the fuse and secure it against being switched on again!

Refer to the illustrations on page 2 for installation:

1. Use the ceiling bracket to mark the holes to be drilled in the ceiling. Make absolutely sure that no cables and pipes run in the drilling area!
2. Drill the holes at the marked positions and insert the dowels. Fasten the bracket with the corresponding screws.
3. Hang the luminaire on the hook on the bracket.
4. Connect the connection cable to the luster terminal. Make sure that the cables are securely fastened.
5. Install the light as shown in the figure.
6. Now switch the fuse back on.

COMMISSIONING

For integration in a Smart Home gateway/app, the light must be reset, see „Resetting the tint product“. This initially clears the connection to the tint remote control.

Control via tint App
To control via tint app, download the “tint Smart Light” app from the App Store or Play Store and follow the instructions in the app. For more information, please visit hey-tint. de.

If you have a tint remote control:

1. Switch on the light.
2. Prepare the remote control according to the manual for connecting and keep it cor-respondingly close to the middle of the light.
3. The light is connected when it lights up 3x.

If you have a Zigbee Gateway (e.g. Hue Bridge V2, Amazon Echo Plus *, Lightify Gate-way):

1. Start the search in the corresponding app.
2. Only now switch on the tint product (in pairing mode), even if this is specified differ-ently in the app.
3. The tint product is found by the app within a few seconds and flashes briefly for con-firmation. Depending on the app, the search takes a few seconds after which the tint product is displayed in the app as a new device and can be named as required.

The tint remote control can also be integrated in some Zigbee gateways, so that LED bulbs and remote control can be used in parallel.

RESET

Reset to 100% light
The tint light bulbs and luminaires can be easily reset by light switch to the basic setting of warm white and 100% brightness. This may be necessary, for example, if you have dimmed the tint products before and the remote control‘s batteries are empty. This feature may also be used in the normal case if you do not have the tint remote control on hand.

1. Use the light switch to switch the tint product off and on again 3 times (interval of 1 second).
2. The tint product will now start in its basic setting, warm white, 100%.

Resetting the tint product
Resetting the tint product is only required in exceptional cases, such as when the re-mote control has had to be reset.
Note: All settings (such as the link to the remote control) are reset. The tint product is then returned to coupling mode.

1. 1Use the light switch to switch the tint product off and on again 5 times (interval of 1 second on/3 seconds off).
2. Switch the light on again. The light flashes briefly and then lights up white. The desired reset has taken place

Aggressive cleaners may damage the light set

• Do not use a cleaner that contains solvents and/or abrasive / corrosive ingredients.
• Use a dry, soft cloth for cleaning.
• Stubborn spots can be removed with a slightly moistened cloth, if necessary using a neutral cleaner.

Disposel
Within the EU, this symbol indicates that this product must not be disposed of with household waste. In accordance with legal regulations, the old device must be disposed of in an orderly manner at the end of its service life.
