Safety Instructions

This appliance can be used by children aged 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.
Fire and explosion hazards!
Never suck up into the machine any inflammable or explosive solvents, or liquids like petrol, oil, alcohol, thinners, or small particles (such as metal filings or ash) that may be
hotter than 60°C – otherwise, there is a danger of explosion or fire! You are not allowed to use the appliance in the vicinity of inflammable gases or substances. Do not point the
nozzle, hose or tube at people or animals.
Specified Conditions Of Use
The Ash vacuum cleaner can only be used for the production of compressed air to be used at home and by handymen.
The vacuum cleaners described in this operating manual are suitable for

• sucking up cold ashes
• Any national regulations in this regard must be complied with.

The following materials should not be picked up by the vacuum cleaner

• hazardous dust
• hot materials (burning cigarettes, hot ash, etc.)
• flammable, explosive, aggressive liquids (e.g. petrol, solvents, acids, alkalis, etc.)
• flammable, explosive dust (e.g. magnesium or aluminum dust, etc.)

Please note that our equipment has not been designed for commercial, craft, or industrial use. If the equipment is used in commercial, craft, or industrial operations or for similar activities, we cannot assume any liability.
Emergency procedure
Conduct a first-aid procedure adequate to the injury and summon qualified medical attendance as quickly as possible. Protect the injured person from further harm and calm them down. Battery

Risk of fire! Risk of explosion! Never use damaged, defective, or deformed accumulators. Never open or damage the accumulator or let it fall on the ground.
Never charge the battery in an environment with acids and easily flammable materials.
Protect the battery against heat and fire. Battery to be used at ambient temperatures between 10°C and +40°C only.
Never put the battery on heaters and do not expose it to strong sunlight for a long time. After being subject to heavy load, let the battery cool down first. Short circuit – do not bridge the accumulator contacts with metal parts.
The accumulator must be packaged (plastic bag, box) or accumulator contacts must be sealed up for accumulator disposal, transport, or storage.
The Güde charger to be used only to charge the battery. There can be malfunction or fire if different chargers are used.
Vapors may leak out in case of unauthorized use or when using a damaged accumulator. Bring fresh air and seek medical advice if experiencing difficulties. Vapors may irritate the respiratory system.
Work instructions
Accumulators are supplied partially charged and must therefore be fully charged before being used for the first time.

• Charge the accumulator when the appliance is running slowly or stops.
• A li-ion battery may be charged at any time without any shortening of its life. Charging process interruption will not damage the accumulator.
• A Li-ion battery is protected by Electronic Cell Protection against deep discharge.
• A significantly shorter operating time of a charged battery means the battery life is over and the battery must be replaced.

Dispose of the batteries in an environmentally friendly manner.
Li-ion batteries are subject to special disposal obligations. Have any defective batteries been disposed of by a specialized shop? The battery must be taken out before the appliance is scrapped. Damaged batteries may harm the environment and your health if toxic vapors or liquids leak out of such batteries.
Therefore, never send a defective battery by post, etc. Please contact your local recycling center. Dispose of the batteries when discharged. We recommend applying adhesive tape on the poles to protect them against short circuits. Never open the battery.

Maintenance

Take the replaceable battery from the appliance before any extension, cleaning and servicing works.
Prior to every use, visually check the machine to rule out any defects, in particular on the power cable and the plug.
The appliance must not be used if damaged or if safety equipment is defective. Replace any worn-out and damaged parts.
The ventilation slots of the machine must be kept clear at all times.
Never spray water onto the upper section of the vacuum cleaner. The danger for persons, risk or shortcircuiting.
Storage:
The appliance must be stored in a dry place and protected from frost.
Repairs and works specified in these Instructions may only be performed by qualified authorized staff. Use only original accessories and original spare parts.
Only a regularly maintained and treated appliance can serve as a satisfactory aid. Insufficient maintenance and care can lead to unforeseen accidents and injuries.

Guarantee

The warranty period of 12 months applies to commercial use and 24 months applies to private use and commences on the day of purchase of the device.
The guarantee solely covers inadequacies caused by a material defect or manufacturing defect. An original payment voucher with the date of the sale needs to be submitted for any claim in the guarantee period.
The guarantee does not cover any unauthorized use such as appliance overloading, use of violence, or damage as a result of any unauthorized interference or caused by foreign items. Failing to follow the operating and assembly instructions and common wear are also not included in the guarantee.
Important information for the customer
Please be sure to know that returning the product in or after the warranty period must be made in the original packaging.
