** Most electrical accidents are caused by carelessness or ignorance. If
you combine a basic knowledge of electricity, a healthy respect for it, and a
dose of common sense, you can safely tackle many household electrical repairs.
Here are some basic guidelines for working with electricity: Before working on
a circuit, go to the main service panel and remove the fuse or trip the
breaker that controls that circuit. Tape a sign to the panel warning others to
leave the circuit alone while you work. Before touching any wire, use a
voltage tester to make sure it’s not live. Whenever you check for voltage in a
receptacle, check both outlets – each may be controlled by a separate wiring
circuit. When replacing fuses, turn off the main power first. Make sure your
hands and feet are dry, and place one hand behind your back to prevent
electricity from making a complete circuit through your chest. Touch a plug
fuse only by its insulated rim. Remove cartridge fuses with a fuse puller. Use
tools with insulated handles and ladders made of wood or fiberglass. Keep dry-
chemical fire extinguishers in the kitchen, basement, and workshop. Never
disable grounding devices. Make sure that all appliances requiring grounding
are properly grounded, and that the electrical system itself is properly
grounded. Meet or exceed all electrical code requirements that cover the work
you are doing. Always work with enough light to see what you are doing; it’s
easy to make mistakes when you’re working in dim light. When in doubt about
the safety of any electrical repair or test, call in a professional.
CONSULT A QUALIFIED ELECTRICIAN TO ENSURE THE CORRECT BRANCH CIRCUIT
CONDUCTOR.**

where the fixture will be installed.
INSTALLATION
CAUTION: When choosing the mounting location, make sure the LED light illuminates the desired area and that the product will not be directly exposed to rain.
-
Installing the Mounting Bracket
Line up the holes on the mounting bracket(C) with the holes on your junction box using the two junction box screws (C). Secure the mounting bracket to the junction box.
-
Making the Electrical Connections
Connect the light fixture wires to the junction box wires with a wire nut (D). If your wires from the junction box are not long enough, and you cannot make a direct connection to the plate, please extend the wires. Place the wires in the wire terminal. There are wire indicators on the plate. Secure the wires by tightening the screw with a flat tip screwdriver.
white to white black to black-green ground wire to house ground
Note: Ensure the polarity is correct -
Installing the Mounting Plate
Place the mounting plate (F) against the junction box. When mounting to a wall, the “UP” arrow must be pointed upward. When mounting to an eave, the “UP” arrow must be pointed toward the building. Insert the small mounting bolt (B) through the mounting plate (F) hole and mounting bracket (G) hole. Tighten the bolt (B) securely. Firmly pull on the mounting plate (F) to verify it is securely attached to the mounting bracket(G)

Sealing
Caulk completely around the area where the canopy meets the wall surface with silicone caulking compound to prevent water from seeping into the outlet box
Note: The unit should be mounted 61/z to 10′ (2 to 3 m) from the ground to ensure motion detection is optimized

Did you know? Most modern routers are dual-band meaning they support both
2.4 GHz and 5 GHz channels.
The most common wireless options are:
- Mixed: The router will broadcast both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz simultaneously under the same SSID. The device will choose which to connect to based on multiple variables (congestion, distance to router, etc.).
- 2.4 GHz: Broadcast only on this channel.
- 5 GHz : Broadcast only on this channel.
- Dual 2.4 and 5 GHz using separate SSIDs: Pouter will broadcast both channels and the user manually decides which to connect to.
