General

Please note the information in these operation instructions before lamp replacement. Please keep these operating instructions in a safe place for later use. This product contains a light source of energy efficien-cy class C (Art.No: 345612-345615) and of energy efficiency class E (Art.No. 345610 und 345611).

Safety instructions

CAUTION!
Risk of physical injury and material damage if used incorrectly!

  •  Installation should be carried out by a qualified electrical technician.
  • Ensure the light is disconnected from the mains voltage before commencing work.
  • The LED Tube is only suitable for use with conventional electromagnetic ballasts (conventional ballasts/low-loss ballasts). Do not operate with electronic ballasts.
  • Only operate the LED Tube in a dry environment or in a light approved for the area of application with a corresponding IP protection class.
  • Do not operate the LED Tube via DC voltage.
  • The LED Tube cannot be dimmed.
  • The LED Tube is not suitable for a tandem circuit.
  • Install and store the LED Tube out of the reach of children.
  • Do not open the LED Tube, especially in case of defect. If required, contact the manufacturer.
  • Do not look directly into the light beam.
  • When replacing the LED Tube, make sure that you use the lighting strength listed in the specifications.
  • This lamp is not suitable for use in emergency lights developed for double-ended fluorescent lamps.
  • No modifications of the luminaire, which the LED tube is to be used with, are to be made.
  • This lamp may not be suitable for all applications where conventional fluorescent lamps are used. The temperature range of this lamp is more limited. If in doubt about its suitability, please contact the manufacturer.
  • This lamp is intended for general lighting use. Explosive atmospheres are excluded, for example.

Area of application

The LED tube is made to replace T8 fluorescent tubes.

Installation

  1. Turn off the power supply.
  2. Turn the fluorescent lamp depending on the version.
  3. Remove the fluorescent lamp.
  4. Remove the starter.
  5. Insert a new LED starter (included in the scope of delivery).
  6. Insert the LED Tube.
  7. Depending on the version, turn the LED Tube so that it makes contact.
  8. Turn the power supply back on.

Disposing of this device after its service life is the responsibility of the operator. Please consult the valid national regulations. The device must not be disposed of in the household waste. In accordance with the stipulations of the EU Directive on the Disposal of Electrical and Electronic Devices, the device can be disposed of free of charge at the local waste collection or recycling centre. Alternatively, it can be returned to retailers who offer a collection service. The proper disposal helps to ensure environmental protection and prevents any adverse effects on human health and the environment.
