Know your phone
Foreword
Youdao Translation 3 supports two-way offline voice translation between
Chinese and English, Japanese, Korean, Spanish or Russian; and two-way offline
camera translation between Chinese and English, Japanese, Korean, French,
Spanish or Portuguese. Translation between other language pairs can also be
fulfilled in a network environment.
To ensure speech collection, please do not block the microdevice. Please keep
the touch screen dry and clean. When using the device for the first time, you
need to activate your
device by connecting it to the Internet either via a WLAN or using your nano-
SIM or eSIM data plan. Specifically, the nano-SIM or eSIM data connection is
operated in a 4G network, which may be a network searching process for the

The online translation process is real-time recording after the user presses the translation button. Voice Translation
The voice buttons, placed at the right side of the device, corresponding to
the two languages respectively displayed on the front page. Press and hold a
button corresponding to the source language in which you are speaking; after
you are done speaking, release the button to allow the device to automatically
collect your speech and translate it. To enter
Language List Options, tap the Language button on the front page, where you
can set the desired language pair.
Camera Translation
With camera translation, you can translate a variety of content by taking
pictures of menus, road signs or handwritten texts either in a vertical or
horizontal mode. When taking photos, please place the object in parallel to
the reference line displayed in the software interface.
After taking a photo, you can tap the Reader Mode to enable the translation of
the source language to be automatically displayed in separate paragraphs that
make reading or viewing easier.
Mobile Network
The device supports mainstream 4G frequency bands in the world. Networks can
be connected via either a nano-SIM or eSIM card, inter-switchable from
Settings-Mobile Network. To use nano-SIM data, you need to insert a physical
SIM card to the device. For information about the specific data package and
pricing policy, please consult with an outlet of your operator. An eSIM is a
digital SIM that allows you to use a data network without having to insert a
physical card. You can purchase and use an eSIM data package directly from the
device.
Global Data
With the device, you can view and purchase a digital-SIM data plan from Front
Page-Data. Packages supported by the device can be viewed after selecting the
target country/region. A data package will be delivered within 10 minutes upon
payment. You can view data packages currently available for the device at the
front page of Data Application.
Voice Notes
Voice Notes is a feature that converts speech into texts in real-time. Notes
can be exported after connecting the device via a data cable.
Voice Assistant
Voice Assistant offers learning materials, encyclopedic knowledge,
translation, system settings, weather forecasting, foreign exchange
calculation, and other features.
Shortcut Settings
Slide down the screen from any interface to access to the Shortcut Settings
option, where you can set shortcuts for volume, brightness, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth,
mobile network, and hotspot. Reboot & Reset
Forced Reboot
To reboot the device, press and hold the Power button for more than 10
seconds.
Reset to Factory Settings
Tap Reset to Factory Settings in Settings to clear data on the device.

This device was tested for typical body-worn operations. To comply With RF
