Foreword
NetEase Youdao dictionary pen is a portable pen scanner that offers word search and translation features. The device is designed with features like word search, translation and pronunciation of Chinese and English languages that are fulfilled by effortlessly moving the pen along the selected text.
Safety
- Please use an adapter with a rated voltage of 5V and current of 1A to charge the device. Using other types of accessories may constitute a violation to the warranty of this product and the regulations of the country where the device is used, and may cause accidents.
- Please use the device where the ambient temperature is between 0℃ and 35℃, and store it and its accessories within -20℃ and +45℃. Excessively high or low ambient temperatures may cause malfunctions.
- Please do not expose the device to extreme heat or heating devices like sunlight, heater, microwave oven, toaster or water heater.
- When charging is completed or not in progress, please disconnect the charger and the device and unplug the charger from the power socket.
- The device is equipped with a non-removable, built-in battery. Please do not replace the battery by yourself to avoid causing any damage to the device.
- Please properly dispose of the device, battery and accessories in accordance with local regulations. Do not dispose of them as life waste.
Warning &Caution
Do not expose the battery (battery package or assembled battery) to sunlight,

User Guide
Hold the pen in the way described in the figure.
Place the Scanner.. Tip across the text..
Ensure the text falls within the. Transparent window.
Move the pen along the line at a constant speed..
Ensure that the scanner tip is pressed cíosely to the paper..
Menu functions
Scanning, word search and Translation
The scanning window is at the bottom of the product. Hold the pen and place
the scanner tip at the beginning of the text; lightly press the button to
activate the scanner tip and move the pen horizontally along the text at a
constant speed; at the end of the text, lift the pen to complete scanning,
word search and translation
Reboot and Restore
Force-shutdown
When the device cannot be shut down normally, press the power button and hold
for more than 6 seconds to force-shutdown it. To boot the device, press and
hold the power button again.
Reset to Factory Settings
Tap Reset to Factory Settings in Settings to clear data on device.
