1. Introduction

Thank you for purchasing our Premium single cooking plate MONA BLACK!
We are confident that you will be as excited about the functionality and quality of our product as we are. To ensure that you enjoy this device for as long as possible, we ask that you carefully read and follow the instructions below.

2. General provisions

  •  The operating voltage is 220-240 volts, 50/60 Hz, the power is 1500 watts.
  • Before use, please check whether your mains voltage matches the mains voltage marked on the underside of the single cooking plate.
  • Please connect the single cooking plate to a socket with a protective conductor.
  • Only operate the single cooking plate if the power cord is intact and the plug properly fits into the outlet.
  • Always pull the plug out of the socket with both hands.
  • Do not pull on the cable to move the single cooking plate or wrap the device.
  • Please do not carry out any modifications or repairs to the lighter itself. Assign a specialist.
  • Always place the single cooking plate on a stable and smooth surface.
  • Please avoid using the coal primer on non-heat-resistant surfaces such as carpet, laminate, soft plastic surfaces, etc.
  • Please make sure there is enough free space around the single cooking plate of 10 cm on all sides, so that the excess heat can escape from the ventilation slots.
  • Please do not use the single cooking plate near a fire or in damp places. Water and fire can damage the single cooking plate.
  • Please do not use the device on a windowsill or directly at the window.
  • Never leave the carbon lighter unsupervised during use.
  • Please make sure that children do not have access to the single cooking plate.
  • Please leave the power cord plugged in for at least 10 seconds after use to allow the cooktop to cool down first. Then switch off the device and remove the cable from the socket at least 10 seconds later.
  • Please check the single cooking plate for completeness and perfect condition prior to each use and only use the appliance if this has been ensured.

ATTENTION: risk of burns and injuries! The surface of the single cooking plate (housing and heating coil) become very hot during operation. Even after switching off the hot surfaces of the single
cooking plate are still hot for some time!

3. Preparation before the first use

The heating coil was rubbed with wax to protect against rust damage and should be made to glow for the first use for 10-20 minutes without coal at the highest level.

4. Commissioning

  • The control lamp lights up as long as the heating plate is on.
  • Switch off the hotplate by setting the temperature control to the lowest level and use the stored energy of the hotplate to keep it warm.
  • Unplug the power cord from the power outlet for about 10 seconds after switching off the hotplate.

5. Care and maintenance

Always unplug the appliance and let it cool down before cleaning! Never
~ immerse the appliance, power cable or power plug in water for cleaning!

  • Please use a slightly damp cloth for cleaning and do not use cleaning agents, petrol, steel brushes or solvents or thinners.
  • Please do not hold under running water.
  •  Always store the hotplate in a dry place. Moisture will cause rust and malfunction of the appliance.

6.Environmental Protection – Directive WEEE 2002/96 / EC In order to protect people’s health and our environment, the German Electrical and Electronic Equipment Act (ElektroG) was passed in Germany, which requires cooperation from us as the manufacturer and you as the end user. For this reason, the single cooking plate must not be disposed of in the unsorted garbage. This is illustrated by the following symbol which you will find on the product label and the package of the single cooking plate:

The symbol of the crossed-out dustbin indicates that this electrical or electronic device must not be disposed of with household waste at the end of its service life. For collection, there are free collection
points for electrical and electronic appliances in your area.

7. Warranty

The M. ROSENFELD HOME cooking plate is covered by the statutory warranty. Within the statutory period, defects based on material or manufacturing defects are remedied. Excluded from this are damage to
fragile parts and damage caused by excessive use, improper handling and use, as well as by ignoring and disregarding the instructions for use. Furthermore, damage caused by wear or due to normal wear and tear is
excluded. In the event of foreign intervention, the warranty also expires. In these cases, the seller will assume no liability in the event of damage. If you find a defect, please return the complete device to your dealer/ seller. Warranty claims are only valid in connection with the corresponding invoice.
