Operating Instructions
- Power On: To power on the unit, turn the volume knob clockwise until you hear a click noise.
- Power Sources : This speaker can be powered through two methods: Built-In battery: You can recharge the battery on this unit with the cable located inside the battery compartment. D-Size Batteries: You can also power this unit in emergency situations with four D-size batteries by putting them in the battery compartment.
- Input Sources : The switch on the top of the unit allows you to select between four Input sources: MP3/BT: When this source is selected, you can play music from an mp3 file (with USB/SD/Mini SD Card), Bluetooth, or Auxilliary. You can switch between these three modes with the mode button on the front face of the unit. FM, AM, or SW: With these three selections, you can play music from a station on the FM Band, AM Band, or Shortwave band. Use the tuning knob to select a station on any of these bands.
- Bluetooth: Tao pair your Bluetooth device with this unit, first make sure the input switch is set to “BT/MP3”. Then search for “RETROBOX”in your devices Bluetooth settings.
- MP3 Player : To play an mp3 file from a USB drive or SD card, first make sure the unit is set to”BT/MP3″. Then insert your USB or SD card into it’s respective port and the unit will automatically find and play the mp3 files on your device.
- EQ: To make the speaker sound best for the type of music you are playing, press the EQ button to switch through the different EQ settings. This function only works for Bluetooth, mp3, and AUX sources.
Precautions
*Please take out batteries if not using the unit in a long time. Do not mix different types of batteries, or an old one with a new one.
*Please don’t hit or drop strongly, and don’t leave in damp, corrosive, or high temperature conditions.
*To clean the surface, use a soft cloth with a mild detergent solution. Do not use any strong solvents such as alcohol or benzine.
