PAIRING INSTRUCTIONS
- Open your durable soft sided carrying case (also includes a small travel pouch). Remove your new Sportsband Triple Driver Earbuds.
- Press and hold the “Play” button (on the in-line controller located on the cable of your right earbud.) “HELM on” will be heard on the headphones followed by “HELM Pairing:’ The HELM logo will alternate fading red and blue lights indicating the Sportsband is ready to pair.
-
- For iPhones, turn Bluetooth on if not previously active, open Settings > Bluetooth and select “HELM Sportsband” in the Other Devices list (below the My Devices list) This completes pairing, and the HELM logo on the headphones will slowly pulse blue lights only. Once connected the Sportsband you will hear “Connected” on the headphones.
- For Android phones, turn Bluetooth on if not previously active, open your device’s Bluetooth Settings and select HELM Sportsband from available devices. This completes pairing, and the HELM logo on the headphones will slowly pulse blue lights only. Once connected the Sportsband you will hear “Connected” on the headphones. (In your Bluetooth settings you can also select “best sound quality” or aptX-HD in connection quality for high resolution audio.)
- Some devices maintain independent volume control for their device and paired headphones. If you experience low volumes when your phone volume is set to higher levels, use the “+” button on the Sportsband in-line remote to adjust the volume to the level you desire to listen to.
- When you are finished using your HELM Sportsband, press and hold the “Play” button (on the in-line controller located on the cable of your right earbud) until “HELM off” is heard on the headphones and the lights on the headphones flash red before powering off.
CHARGING
- Use your device’s options to monitor the Sportsband battery level. On a fully charged battery you should experience up to 25 hours of continuous use (play time may vary depending on volume level). When needed, connect the supplied USB cable with a common phone charging block to the port on the inline controller.
- When the battery needs recharging, the “battery low” voice prompt will alert every five minutes until the battery is drained to the point the Sportsband shuts down or is connected to a charger. When fully charged the headphone LED will change from red to blue.
TROUBLESHOOTING
- If you encounter problems pairing we suggest turning Bluetooth off on your device, powering down the Sportsband, turn Bluetooth back on, power the Sportsband back on and restart the pairing sequence.
In the event that the above Step 7 doesn’t correct your Sportsband’s pairing issue, press and hold the “play” & “÷” button for three seconds to clear the Sportsband’s internal device list and re-enter pairing mode. You will hear two beeps on the headphones after the reset is complete. Now redo the initial pairing sequence.
Note: The LEDs on the earpieces are not controllable and are always on.
